Mayor Brainaid called the meeting to order at 6 00 p in
Pastor Carol Ann Addett, Chnst Church of Glory in Indianapolis pronounced the Invocation

Councilor Snyder made a motion to approve Minutes from the September 8, 2009 Special Meeting

I COUNCIL MAYORAL AND CLERK TREASURER COMMENTS /OBSERVATIONS
Councilor Carter discussed a recent article in the Wall Street Journal "Making Suburbia More Livable
Councilor Carter also requested within the next month that Clerk Treasurer Diana L Cordray provide to
the Council a review of the banlang institutions used by the City their interest rate and what services they
provide Councilor Carter also informed the Council and citizens that this Saturday is the last day for the
Cal mcl Farmer s Market
Councilor Rider complunented the organizers of the recent Artomoldia Councilor Rider also recognized
Rosemary Waters for her involvement in the International Arts Festival that will be held this Saturday and
Sunday
Councilor Accetturo responded to the individuals who addressed the Council regarding fireworks
Council President Seidensticker requested that Mayor Brainard have the Engineering Department contact
Mr Loomis regarding the "Hazel Dell project

Redevelopment Commission attorney Council President Seidensticker called for the vote Claims were

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Councilor Snyder reported that the Finance Administration and Rules Committee met and discussed
Ordinance D 1957 09 which was forwarded with a 4 0 favorable recommendation to the Council with
proposed amendments Additionally Curt Coonrod, Financial Advisor for the City attended the Finance
meeting and discussed projected incomes for the next several years
Councilor Sharp reported that the Land Use Annexation and Economic Development Committee had not
met The next meeting will be held on. Thursday September 24 2009 at b 30 p m
Councilor Rider reported that the Parks Recreanon and Arts Committee had not met
Council President Seidensticker reported that the Utilities, 1 ransportation and Public Safety Committee
had not met

Mayor Brainard reminded the Council and citizens that the Cannel Symphony Orchestra along with
Sylvia McNair and Michael Feinstein will perform on Fnday September 25, 2009 at the Westfield High
School Auditorium
