A. REMOVE AND DISPOSE OFF-SITE, ALL EXISTING TREES AND
LANDSCAPING, UNLESS NOTED TO REMAIN.
B. ITEMS OF SALVAGEABLE VALUE TO CONTRACTOR MAY BE REMOVED AS
WORK PROGRESSES. TRANSPORT SALVAGED ITEMS FROM THE SITE AS
THEY ARE REMOVED. STORAGE OR SALE OF REMOVED ITEMS WILL NOT
BE PERMITTED ON-SITE.
C. USE OF ANY TYPE OF EXPLOSIVES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
D. CONDUCT DEMOLITION OPERATIONS AND REMOVAL OF DEBRIS TO
ENSURE MINIMUM INTERFERENCE WITH ROADS, STREETS, WALKS
AND OTHER ADJACENT OCCUPIED AND USED FACILITIES.
E. DO NOT CLOSE OR OBSTRUCT ROADS, STREETS, WALKS OR OTHER
OCCUPIED OR USED FACILITIES WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE
LOCAL AUTHORITIES HAVING JURISDICTION. PROVIDE ALTERNATE
ROUTES CLOSED OR OBSTRUCTED TRAFFIC WAYS, IF REQUIRED BY
GOVERNING AUTHORITIES.
F. ENSURE SAFE PASSAGE OF PERSONS AROUND AREAS OF DEMOLITION.
CONDUCT OPERATIONS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT BUILDINGS,
STRUCTURES, AND OTHER FACILITIES AND INJURY TO PERSONS.
G. PROMPTLY REPAIR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED TO ADJACENT FACILITIES
BY DEMOLITION OPERATIONS.
H. DISCONNECT, CAP AND REMOVE UTILITY SERVICES PER LOCAL
REQUIREMENTS. DO NOT START DEMOLITION WORK UNTIL UTILITY
DISCONNECTIONS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED TO THE SATISFACTION
OF LOCAL UTILITIES.
I. DEMOLISH BUILDINGS COMPLETELY AND REMOVE FROM SITE. USE
SUCH METHODS AS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE WORK WITHIN
LIMITATIONS OF GOVERNING AUTHORITIES.
1. PROCEED WITH DEMOLITION IN A SYSTEMATIC MANNER, FROM
TOP OF STRUCTURES TO GROUND. COMPLETE DEMOLITION WORK
ABOVE EACH FLOOR OR TIER BEFORE DISTURBING SUPPORTING
MEMBERS ON LOWER LEVELS.
2. DEMOLISH CONCRETE/MASONRY IN SMALL SECTIONS.
3. REMOVE STRUCTURAL FRAMING MEMBERS AND LOWER TO
GROUND BY HOISTS, DERRICKS OR OTHER SUITABLE METHODS.
4. BREAK-UP AND REMOVE CONCRETE SLABS-ON-GRADE UNLESS
OTHERWISE SHOWN TO REMAIN.
J. DEMOLISH FOUNDATION WALLS AND OTHER BELOW-GRADE
CONSTRUCTION, INCLUDING CONCRETE SLABS, TO A DEPTH OF
NOT LESS THAN 24 INCHES BELOW LOWEST FOUNDATION LEVEL.
K. REMOVE WEEKLY FORM SITE ACCUMULATED DEBRIS, RUBBISH AND
OTHER MATERIALS RESULTING FROM DEMOLITION OPERATIONS.
L. TRANSPORT MATERIALS REMOVED FROM DEMOLITION OPERATIONS AND
AND LEGALLY DISPOSE OF OFF-SITE.
M. REPORT ANY UNDERGROUND TANKS DISCOVERED DURING DEMOLITION
OR CONSTRUCTION OPERATIONS IMMEDIATELY TO OWNER.
UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS TO BE REMOVED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
UPON REMOVAL OF UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANKS, SUB-GRADE TO BE
COMPACTED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GEOTECHNICAL SUBSURFACE
INVESTIGATION OR AS DIRECTED BY THE ON-SITE GEOTECHNICAL
N. ALL EXISTING WELLS ON SITE TO BE ABANDONED IN ACCORDANCE
WITH ALL APPLICABLE LOCAL, STATE AND FEDERAL REGULATIONS.
0. COMPLETELY FILL BELOW-GRADE AREAS AND VOIDS, INCLUDING
BASEMENTS, EXISTING SEPTIC FIELDS, CISTERNS, UTILITY TRENCHES,

AS THOSE RESULTING FROM DEMOLITION ACTIVITY WITH COMPACTED
GRANULAR BACKFILL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GEOTECHNICAL
