Dear Mr. Granner,
At the meeting held Monday, April 28, 2003, the Carmel/Clay Advisory Board of Zoning
Appeals took the following action regarding the Development Standards Variances filed by you on
behalf of First Indiana Bank for property located at 20 South Range Line Road:
APPROVED with Conditions: Docket No. V- 36 -03, a Development Standards Variance
petition of Section 25.07.02 -13(a) in order to establish ground identification sign.
The Board voted four (4) in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby approving the petition with the
following Condition of Approval:
1. If the sign is determined to be too bright, the petitioner will be required to reduce the
internal illumination.
APPROVED: Docket No. V- 37 -03, a Development Standards Variance petition of Section
25.07.02 -13(b) in order to establish two (2) identification signs.
The Board voted four (4) in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby approving the petition.

APPROVED: Docket No. V- 38 -03, a Development Standards Variance petition of Section
25.07.02 -13(e) in order to establish <5' from the South Range Line Road right -of -way.
The Board voted four (4) in favor, one (1) opposed, thereby approving the petition.
Please be advised that per Section 25.07.07: Sign Permits of the Zoning Ordinance, the
signs approved pursuant to the aforementioned Development Standards Variances must be
established within one (1) year. The expiration date of the approvals is Wednesday, April 28,
2004.
*When applying for Sign Permits for this structure, please include a copy of this
letter with your application materials in order to assist the Department's review.
