2. Mailed and Published Public Notice needs to occur no later than Friday, Sept. 25. Published notice is required
within the Indianapolis Star. Try to get the public notice ad to the IndyStar by Noon, two days prior to the public
notice deadline. It takes about two days for them to publish it. Also, the placement of a public hearing sign on
the property is required; see application.
3. The Filing Fee and Fifteen (15) Informational Packets must be delivered to Plan Commission Secretary
Ramona Hancock no later than Noon, Friday, Oct. 9.
4. Proof of Notice will need to be received by this Department no later than Noon, Friday, Oct. 16. Failure to submit
Proof of Notice by this time will result in the tabling of the petition.
5. This item will appear on the Tuesday, Oct. 20 agenda of the Plan Commission (under "Public Hearings A
representative must be present.
6. This item might also appear on the Nov. 3 agenda of the Plan Commission Subdivision Committee. A
representative must be present.
7. Refer to your instruction sheet for more detail.

RE: Lincolnshire Sidewalk Waiver Request
Dear Ms. Conn:
We are pleased to submit our application for a waiver to Section 8.09.01 of the
Subdivision Control Ordinance. The purpose of the waiver is to allow the sidewalk to be
located outside of the right -of -way. Connectivity provided by the sidewalk is retained in
our waiver request. Approval of the waiver simply allows the sidewalk to meander
through an adjoining common area to provide a safer route and more pleasurable
experience for users of the sidewalk.
We believe that the location of the walks provides safe, attractive connections of the
neighborhood to the asphalt pathway along 141S Street by routing the walk through the
common area away from the street entry to the community. This alignment reduces the
vehicular /pedestrian conflicts at the entry drive the place with the highest
concentration of cars in the neighborhood. The realignment of the walks has also
allowed us to create a distinctive neighborhood entry with a different feel than standard
subdivision entries.
