General Information: Finding of Fact: DEPARTMENT REPORT June 23, 2003 Background Information: none 1.) June 23, 2003 Carmel /Clay Board of Zoning Appeals Department Report 21 The applicant would like to have a covered porch built at the front door of his home, which would extend 8 feet past the platted buildings setback line of 50 feet. Analysis: The house is located at the end of a cul -de -sac. The platted BSL is 50 feet, even though the ordinance states 40 feet BSL for the S- 1/Residential Zone. The addition of a covered porch would add an architectural element to the home and add character to the neighborhood.
