1. Docket No. 09090019 ADLS Amend: West Carmel Center, Blk B, Lot 1 Ameriana Bank
The applicant seeks approval to modify the landscape plan remove some plant material. The site is
located at 3975 W. 106 St. and is zoned B -5 /Business. Filed by Alan Armstrong for Ameriana Bank.
Since the last meeting: the petitioner has revised the plans, in order to meet the ordinance requirements. A variance
will not be required. The Forestry Dept has reviewed the revised proposal against the Zoning Ordinance Section
26.04: Perimeter Bufferyard requirements and they now meet the ordinance requirements.
The applicant seeks approval to remove or relocated trees. In their place, the petitioner would like to add
chokeberry shrubs to match the existing on site, and to try to screen the drive through from 106 Street. The reason
for the request is the bank wants clear visibility in case of hostage situations and also for better signage vision.
Please note that two prior banks were located at this site, and did not amend the landscape plan. Please refer to the
petitioner's revised plan for more detail.
The Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends that the Committee vote to approve this item after
all comments /concerns are addressed. (This item requires a Plan Commission Committee vote.)
