HomeMy WebLinkAboutDept Report CARMEL PLAN COMMISSION SPECIAL STUDIES COMMITTEE DEPARTMENT REPORT NOVEMBER 3, 2009 3. Docket No. 09100007 ADLS Amend: Meridian Plaza Signage The applicant seeks approval for a new sign package for the 3 building complex. The site is located at 10333, 10450, and 10585 N. Meridian St. and is zoned B -5 within the US 31 Overlay. Filed by Paul Reis of Krieg DeVault, LLP. The applicant seeks approval for the new signage plan for Meridian Plaza office complex. BZA variances were granted recently to allow up to 3 (Bldg. I) and 4 (Bldgs. 2 3) wall signs in each of 5 (Bldg. 1) and 6 (Bldgs. 2 3) possible locations. This was done to help give tenants recognition and help the management attract new tenants. This ADLS Amendment request would solidify those variance-approved locations for future tenants so that they would only need sign permit approval for new signs. The applicant would also like to reiterate that the new color scheme for tenant signs would be black letters during the day and illuminate white at night, with color logos restricted to 25% of each total sign area. This would apply to ground signs as well as wall signs. Please refer to the petitioner's info packet for more detail. The Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends that the Committee approve this item after all concerns and issued are addressed. (This item only requires committee approval.)
