Carmel Plan Commission c 5OV I k., 1 September 15, 2009 Meeting c H I v s E r: I Jee p FIVE STAR ©e® Dear Members, Thanks to our architect, builder, and the Carmel Plan Commission, we moved into our beautiful new facility in October, 2002. We have received numerous, unsolicited comments from both customers and non customers, stating that ours is the most beautiful dealership in Central Indiana. Chrysler Group, LLC. has requested that we construct an "arch" as part of our facade. Prior to going to the expense of drawing up detailed plans, we were hopeful that the Commission would discuss and examine the concept of adding an arch, and vote yea or nay on whether the Commission would consider such an alteration. I have included a photo of such an arch at another dealership: Grogan's Towne Chrysler. Note that our arch would not include the glass or doors. Our arch would be an exterior, architectural addition. I have also included a computer generated photo of our facility with the proposed arch superimposed on the image. The comment from Chrysler which accompanied the image is: "Arch should extend 4 feet higher than rooftop and should be approximately 28 feet wide. You should consult with a structural engineer to determine if the arch can attach to the building. If you can't attach, the arch would need to stand approximately 2 feet from the front of the building at the same location as rendering." We appreciate your time and consideration. Thomas F.
