LANDSCAPING NOTES:
1. IN CASE OF DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE PLAN AND PLANT LIST,
THE PLAN SHALL DICTATE. IF PLANT IDENTIFICATION BOX QUANTITY
SHOWN ON PLAN DIFFERS FROM GRAPHIC RANT CIRCLE COUNT, THE
GRAPHIC CIRCLE COUNT SHALL DICTATE. IF IN QUESTION CONTACT
THE LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT.
2. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT WILL APPROVE FINAL PLACEMENT OF PLANT
MATERIAL, BEFORE PLANTING OPERATION ARE TOPROCED. MARK
TREE LOCATIONS WITH WOODEN STAKES INDICATING TREE VARIETY
AND SIZE. DESIGNATE GROUND COVER AND MULCH BED LINES WITH A
WOOD STAKES FOR REFERENCE. STAKES SHALL BE REMOVED
FOLLOWING PLANTING OPERATION. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT RESERVES
THE RIGHT TO ADJUST PLANT LOCATIONS ON SITE. REINSTALL ANY
PLANT MATERIAL LOCATED INCORRECTLY (IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE
LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT) UPON THE CONTRACTORS DISREGARD FOR
STAKING, AT NO COST TO THE OWNER.
3. NO SUBSTITUTION OF PLANT MATERIAL IS ALLOWED. IFPLANTSARE
SHOWN TO BE UNAVAILABLE, NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTPRIORTO
BID DATE IN WRITING.
4. PLANTS ARE TO MEET OR EXCEED AMERICAN STANDARDS FOR
NURSERY STOCK, 1996 EDITION, AS SET FORTH BY AMERICAN
ASSOCIATION OF NURSERYMEN.
5. PLANTS AND OTHER MATERIAL TO BE STORED ON SITE E WILL BE
PLACED WHERE THEY WILL NOT CONFLICT WITH CONSTRUCTION
OPERATIONS.
6. NOTIFY LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT IN WRITING PRIOR TO BID DATE OF
ANY PLANTS THAT MAY NOT SURVIVE TRANSPLANTING OPERATION OR
IN LOCATIONS NOTED.
7. PLANTING BEDS SHALL HAVE A SPADED EDGE TO A DEPTH EQUALTO
SPECIFIED MULCH THICKNESS, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
SLEEVING NOTES:
1. SLEEVING SHALL BE 2'-4' DIA. SCHEDULE 40 PVC PIPE UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED. REFER TO LAYOUT PLAN FOR LOCATIONS. WHERE
POSSIBLE SLEEVING SHOULD BE STACKED TO GANGED TO MINIMIZE
SPACE REQUIREMENTS.
2. CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE AT LEAST TWO (2) SLEEVES FOR
IRRIGATION AND ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO EACH PLANTING AREA AND
/OR RAISED SURROUNDED OR ISOLATED BY PAVING.
3. SLEEVES SHALL BE INSTALLED AT A MINIMUM 36' DEPTH UNLESS
OTHERWISE DETERMINED BY ELECTRICIAN OR IRRIGATION
CONTRACTOR. THE END OF EACH SLEEVE SHALL EXTEND AT LEAST 1f
BEYOND PAVEMENT, FOOTING OR BASE ROCK. CONTRACTOR SHALL
MARK THE ENDS OF THE SLEEVES ABOVE GROUND.
4. LOCATE SLEEVES IN ACCESSIBLE CORNERS OR ALONG EDGES OF
PAVEMENT. AVOID DIRECTING SLEEVES TOWARD OR THROUGH THE
CENTER OF PLANTING AREAS WHERE LARGE ROOT BALLS ARE
INTENDED.
