The first violation is §6-88 (c): (c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property') located within the City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing thereon that exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their property clear of debris. Also, §6-77(d) of the Carmel City Code construes the following conditions to be a public health nuisance: (d) All stagnant water in which mosquitoes, flies or other insects can multiply. And, §6-222 General Requirements of the Property Maintenance Code, specifically §6-222 (b)(1), §6-222 (c)(1), and §6-222 (c)(5); (b)(1) Exterior Premises Areas. Sanitation. All exterior property and premises shall be maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition. The owner or occupant shall keep that part of the exterior property, which such occupant occupies or controls in a clean and sanitary condition. (c)(1) Exterior Structure. General. The exterior of a structure shall be maintained in good repair, structurally sound and sanitary so as not to pose a threat to the public health, safety, or welfare. (c)(5) Exterior Structure. Exterior Walls. All exterior walls shall be free from holes, breaks, and loose or rotting materials; and maintained weatherproof and properly surface -coated where required to prevent deterioration. Please be advised, these violations need to be corrected by June 20, 2008, or, this matter will be brought into compliance by the City of Carmel. You, as property owner(s) will be liable and billed for the cost of correcting the violation(s) and all administrative costs.
