1. Docket No. 09050023 Z: Rezone, Old Meridian Main
The applicant seeks approval to rezone the southwest corner of Old Meridian St. Main St.
from OM /SU -Old Meridian District Special Use to OM /MU -Old Meridian District Mixed Use.
The site is located at 12960 Old Meridian St. Filed by Matt Worthley for the Cannel
Redevelopment Commission.
The petitioner seeks approval to rezone 2.8 acres of land from Old Meridian District Special Use zoning
classification to Old Meridian District Mixed Use zoning classification. The rezone will allow for a number of
additional land uses, including Multiple Family Dwellings, General Retail Sales, and General Office, that is not
permitted with the current OM /SU zoning. These additional land uses fit in the Old Meridian District overlay
zone and correlate with the Carmel Redevelopment Commission's overall goal. Please view the petitioner's
informational packet for further detail and a conceptual site plan.
At a later date, the petitioner will submit Development Plan and ADLS applications for Plan Commission
review and approval of the site plan and building design.
At the Sept. 1 Special Studies Committee meeting there was a 4 -0 vote to forward this rezone item to the full
Plan Commission with a positive recommendation.
The Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends that the Commission forwards this item
to City Council with a positive recommendation.
