Dear Ms. Solada:
This letter is in response to your inquiry about uses permitted in the I- 1/Industrial zone, which is
what the approved Starbuck's property at the southwest corner of Michigan Road and
Northwestern Drive is zoned. The use is considered a restaurant with walk -up /drive -thru food
sales. If you refer to Appendix A of the Zoning Ordinance, this use is shown as being permitted
in the I- 1/Industrial Zone.

Angie,
I just received (1- 15 -04) the fax transmittal from your office (Connie
Tingley), indicating that we owe an additional filing fee of $450 for the
landscaping variance. We paid the $655 filing fee yesterday (1- 14 -04) for
the lot size variance.
The filing fees are provided to us from our client, Java Partners, out of
Dallas. The information received today indicates that the additional fee is
due tomorrow (1- 16 -04).
May we pay the additional $450 on Monday (1 -19) or Tuesday (1 -20), in order
for it to arrive from Dallas, without being penalized in terms of the
hearing date scheduled for January 26?
Please let me know. Thanks.
