RE: Springwood, Lot 5 DSV Application
Dear Ms. Wolenty:
This letter is in response to your DSV Application for Springwood, Lot 5. Upon preliminary review of
the application, the Department has determined that a Development Standards Variance is not required
for the structure height. Building height, according to the Zoning Ordinance, is determined as:
HEIGHT, BUILDING. The vertical distance from the lot ground level to the highest point of the
roof for a flat roof, to the deck line of a mansard roof and to the mean height between eaves
and ridges for gable, hip and gambrel roofs.
Also, there is a provision for the administrative (in- office) approval of structures, such as chimneys,
spires, etc (26.1.4). Therefore, the house plans for Springwood, Lot 5, as submitted, are in compliance
with the ordinance.
