1. ALL GRADES AT BOUNDARY SHALL MEET EXISTING GRADES.
2. IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF EACH CONTRACTOR TO
VERIFY ALL EXISTING UTILITIES AND CONDITIONS
PERTAINING TO HIS PHASE OF WORK. IT SHALL ALSO BE THE
CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO CONTACT THE OWNERS OF
THE VARIOUS UTILITIES FOR PROPER STAKE LOCATIONS FOR
EACH UTILITY BEFORE WORK IS STARTED. THE CONTRACTOR
SHALL NOTIFY IN WRITING THE OWNER OR THE ENGINEER OF
ANY CHANGES, OMISSIONS, OR ERRORS FOUND ON THESE
PLANS OR IN THE FIELD BEFORE WORK IS STARTED OR
RESUMED.
3. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE HAMILTON COUNTY
SURVEYOR SHALL APPLY FOR ALL STORM SEWERS.
4. STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR CLAY TOWNSHIP REGIONAL
WASTE DISTRICT SHALL APPLY FOR ALL SANITARY SEWERS.
5. ANY PART OF THE SANITARY OR STORM SEWER TRENCHES
RUNNING UNDER PAVED AREAS TO BE BACKFILLED WITH
GRANULAR MATERIAL.
6. THE SIZE AND LOCATION OF EXISTING UTILITIES SHOWN ARE
PER INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE RESPECTIVE UTILITY

SYSTEM OR LAKE. THE SUBCONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY IN
WRITING THE OWNER AND THE ENGINEER IN ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THIS CANNOT BE ACCOMPLISHED.
14. ALL FILL AREAS (ENGINEERED FILL) SHALL BE COMPACTED TO
AT LEAST 95 PERCENT OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY (ASTM
D- 1557). FILL UNDER THE FOOTING SHALL BE COMPACTED TO AT
LEAST 95 PERCENT OF THE MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY (ASTM D- 1557).
FILL SHOULD EXHIBIT A MAXIMUM DRY DENSITY OF AT LEAST 105
PCF, AND HAVE A LIQUID LIMIT LESS THAN 50 AND PLASTICITY INDEX
OF LESS THAN 25. SANDY FILL MUST HAVE LESS THAN 15;1 FINES

the easement and have representative present

pipeline.
The Notes section of the drawing should also
contain the following restrictions:
1. No permanent structures of any kind shall be
permitted, placed or erected within the easement
area, including storm drain, catch basin, septic
systems, water impoundments, fire hydrants, sign
boards, supports, brace poles, telephone and power
line poles.
2. All roads, driveways, storm drains and utilities
shall cross the pipeline at near or right angles
extending the width of the easement parcel. Road
crossings much cross at right angles and have a
Minimum cover of 36" between the top of the
pipeline and bottom of the pavement extending the
width of the easement parcel. Proposed street
intersections and cul de sac shall be designed
outside of the easement parcel. All utilities shall
be constructed below the pipelines with a minimum
cla -rance equal to the diameter of the larger
u ility, whichever is greater, but no less that 18
The storm drain must be solid, imperious material
ex tending the width of the easement parcel. No
foreign structures, appurtenances or related fittings
will be permitted within the easement parcel.
3. Telephone, electric, and plastic gas lines under
"shall be installed under the pipeline, where
,practical, and in conduit.
4. No trees, evergreens or shrubs shall be
permitted, placed or planted anywhere on the
easement parcel.
5. Proposed ditches must have a minimum cover
of 36" between the top of pipeline and bottom of
ditch.
6. It is a violation of Federal Law to deface,
obstruct or remove markers without permission
from the pipeline company. Penalties: Up to
$5,000, 1 year in Jail or Both.
