AN ORDINANCE FIXING SALARIES OF APPOINTED OFFICERS AND
EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
FOR THE YEAR 1990
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL,
INDIANA, THAT:
Section 1. Definitions /Explanation:
a. BW shall mean Bi- Weekly
b. WK shall mean Weekly
c. HR shall mean Hourly
d. G shall mean General Fund
e. S shall mean Sewer Fund
f. W shall mean Water Fund
g. MVH shall mean Motor Vehicle Highway Fund
Section 2. That from and after the first day of January,
1990, the maximum salary and pay schedule for appointed officers
and th employees of the City of Carmel, Indiana, shall be fixed as
follows:
TO THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA
I, the undersigned, Dorothy J. Hancock, Mayor of the City of
Carmel, Indiana, as required by Indiana Code 36 -4 -7 -3 and Indiana
Code 36-8-3-3, do hereby fix the maximum salaries and pay schedule
of appointed officers and employees of the City of Carmel, Indiana
beginning January 1, 1990 and continuing thereafter until January
4, 1991 and request that such salary rates be approved by the
Common Council as follows:

Police Officers, Firefighters and Civilians $150.00 per year
Section 3. That an employee must have been in the
full employ of the City of Carmel a minimum of six months during a
year to receive a year's credit on longevity renumeration which shall
be added to their above salaries on an individual basis at a rate of
$150.00 per year up to twenty years.
Section 4. That this Ordinance shall be in full force
and effect from and after its passage and approval according to law.
Passed by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana this 31st
day of July 1989.
