HomeMy WebLinkAboutDept Report 04-20-10 CARMEL PLAN COMMISSION DEPARTMENT REPORT APRIL 20, 2010 1 -2. Docket No. 10020013 DP Amend /ADLS Amend: Hamilton Crossing West, Bldg 5 ITT Building Expansion. The applicant seeks design approval for a building expansion, as well as this zoning waiver request: Docket No. 10020014 ZW Ordinance Ch. 23B.08.03.A.1: Building Height and of floors. The site is located at 13000 N. Meridian St. and is zoned B- 2/Business within the US 31 Overlay Zone. Filed by Jon Sheidler of Woolpert for ITT Educational Services, Inc. The applicant seeks approval for a building addition, which will match the existing building's design, colors, and materials. The approval of the zoning waiver will allow the building addition to match the existing building's height and number of floors. The existing building was approved by the Plan Commission in 2002. Existing, impacted landscaping will be relocated or replaced. Please refer to the petitioner's information packet for more detail. Staff's comments: I. The Forestry Dept. has no issues with the Landscape Plan Tree Preservation Plan. 2. The Hamilton County Surveyor's Office does not have any issues with this project. 3. The City Engineering Dept. has no issues. 4. All of the Planning Department's review comments have been addressed. After all comments and concerns are addressed, the Dept of Community Services (DOCS) recommends that the Plan Commission suspends its rules of procedure and votes to approve both items. (The Commission will have to fill out and sign findings of fact form, after the vote.)
