Dear Ms. Ward:
The Special Studies Committee of the Carmel Plan Commission took the following action at its meeting May 5,
2010 regarding the application for Architectural Design Lighting/Landscaping and Signage Amendment (ADLS
Amend) for an Outdoor Patio for Nippers Grill Tap, 25 feet X 25 feet, at the northeast corner of Woodland
Shoppes, 1771 East 116thStreet, Carmel, zoned B -8 /Business.
APPROVED: Docket No. 10040006 ADLS Amend, Woodland Shoppes, Nippers Grill Tap Patio, was
approved for a 25 foot X 25 foot Outdoor Patio addition located at 1772 East 116` Street,
Carmel, with the following conditions:
a) Construction of a black, 4 foot, wrought iron style /type fence around the perimeter of
the patio
b) "Emergency exit only" sign to be displayed on the second gate
c) Regular sound checks are to be conducted so that there is no noise disturbance
d) Installation of six, 5 -foot tall, Emerald Green Arborvitae Trees on the east side to
buffer the residents in the Governor's Square Apartments, pursuant to the landscape
plan approved by the City Urban Forester.
In order to assist the Department's review, please attach a copy of this letter when making application for permits
regarding the improvements contained within this approval.
