Re: city code violation- condition of property
Dear Mr. Hanna,
This letter is being provided to inform you that an inquiry was made to the Department of
Community Services regarding a possible City Code Violation at 1225 116' st. E. in the City
of Carmel, a property listed under your ownership. An inspection revealed that the concern
appears to be valid and that the property is in violation of the Carmel City Code, §6-77(lt)
and §6-88(c) that construes the following conditions to be public health nuisances:
(lt) Any accumulation of junk, rubbish, scrap metal, automotive parts,
building materials, machinery, dead trees, or parts thereof, upon any premises
in a residential area.
(c) Requirement to cut. All owners of real property ("property') located within
the City shall cut and remove weeds and other rank vegetation growing
thereon that exceeds an average height of six inches, and shall keep their
property clear of debris.
Please bring the condition of this property into compliance with the Carmel/Clay City Code
by March 26th, 2010. Failure to resolve the violation(s) by the specified deadline will result
in further enforcement action by the City of Carmel. If this deadline proves to be difficult
or if you have any questions or comments regarding this matter, please feel free to contact
