GRADING DRAINAGE NOTES:
1. ALL ExOAVATED AREAS TO BE SEEDED OR SODDED AFTER FINAL GRADING
I;N =SS OTHERWISE NOTED. SEE LANDSCAPE PLAN AND /OR EROSION CONTROL
PLAN FOR DIRECTION AND VERIFICATION.
2. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE IN ALL PAVED AREAS WITHOUT PONDING WATER.
THE PAVING CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST AL_ PAVED AREAS FOR BIRD BATH
CONDITIONS BY FLOODING THE ENTIRE PAVEMENT AREA WITH WATER AND
MARKING THE PONDED AREAS PRIOR TO THE INSTALLATION OF THE TOPPING
COURSE. CORRECTION SHALL BE MADE IF NECESSARY.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY AIL OMENSIONS ANO ELEVATIONS IN THE FIELD
PRIOR 10 THE STMT OF CONSTRUCTION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR Al FIELD DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS DURING THE ENTIRE
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE. IF ANY DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND IN THESE
ENGINEERING PLANS, LANDSCAPE PLANS, OR SURVEY PLANS FROM ACTUAL
FIELD CONDmONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONTACT THE WE IMMEDIATELY.
4. ALL CONTRACTOR(S) BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE EXCAVATING CONTRACTOR(S)
MUST TAKE PARTICULAR CARE WHEN EXCAVATING IN MD AROUND EXISTING
UTILITY LINES AND EQUIPMENT. ACTUAL FIELD LOCATIONS OF ALL THE EXISTING
UTILITIES ME THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY AND MUST BE LOCATED
EITHER BY THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY COMPANY OR BY A PRIVATE
UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATION COMPANY PRIOR TO THE START OF
EXCAVATING. VERIFY MINIMUM COVER REQUIREMENTS BY THE UTILITY COMPANY
OR CONTRACTOR(S) SO AS NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE.
5. T 5 THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY ALL UTILITY COMPANIES AND
DEPARTMENTS 72 HOURS BEFORE COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION ACTIVTRES TO
VERIFY ANY UPLmES THAT MAY BE PRESENT ON SITE. All VERIFICATIONS,
LOCATIONS, SIZE MO DEPTHS SHALL BE MADE BY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY
COMPANIES OR DEPARTMENTS. WHEN EXCAVATING MOUND OR OVER EXISTING
LTILITIES, THE CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY THE UTILITY COMPANY OR
DEPARTMENT SO A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY CAN BE PRESENT DURING
THE EXCAVATION TO INSTRUCT AND OBSERVE DURING THE EXCAVATION.
6. TRENCHES FOR ALL UTUTIES SHALL BE BACKF1LLED COMPLETELY WITH
APPROVED ENGINEERED GRANULAR MATERIAL SUITABLE TO THE A /E. SEE THE
APPROPRIATE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE APPROVED MATERIALS.
7. ALL PROPOSED SPOT ELEVATIONS ARE THE FINAL TOP OF PAVEMENT, TOP OF
CURB OR FINAL GRADE ELEVATION. TO DETERMINE THE SJBGRADE ELEVATION
REQUIRED BELOW A PROPOSED FINAL ELEVATION, SEE APPROPRIATE DETAIL.
8. HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AND TRAFFIC MAY CREATE PUMPING AND
GENERAL DETERIORATION OF THE SHALLOWER SOILS I- CXC SS SURFACE WATER
IS PRESENT. PROPER PRECAUTIONARY STEPS MUST BE TAKEN DURING THE
ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE '0 ALLEVIATE SUCH DAMAGE.
9. ALL CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND MATERIALS MUST CONFORM TO CURRENT
STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR
LOCAL REQUIREMENTS, WHICHEVER WAS JURISDICTION.
10. EXISTING PAVEMENTS, SIDEWALKS, CURBS, DRIVEWAYS, ELECTRICAL
TRANSFORMERS ANC PADS, DITCHES, DRAINAGE PPES AND STRUCTURES.
FENCES, LAWNS, TREES, BUSHES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS, POWER POLES, ETC., TO
REMAIN AND BE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE BY THE CONTRACTOR. ANY DAMAGE
DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RESTORED, RECONSTRUCTED OR REPLACED
BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS EXPENSE. ALL DAMAGES SHALL BE RESTORED OR
REPLACED TO AT LEAST THEIR ORIGINAL CONDUON OR AS REQUIRED OR
DICTATED BY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL AGENCIES.

COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL PERMITS FOR ANY AND ALL WORK REQUIRED UNLESS

REQUIRED PERMITS BY ANY OR Al AGENCIES MENTIONED ABOVE UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED IN THE CONTRACT OR SPECIFICATIONS.

TO VERIFY WITH EACH UTILITY COMPANY OR DEPARTMENT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
To REMOVE, RELOCATE, AND /OR MODIFY SUCH UTILITY EXISTING OR PROPOSED.
IT FURTHER SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY IF ANY
FUTURE UTILITIES ARE PLANNED AND HOW TT MAY AFFECT THIS PROJECT MID
IT'S OWNER AS TO THEIR FUTURE RESPONSIBILJTIES.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE AT HIS EXPENSE ALL
AUTOMOBILE AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES REQUIRED BY
FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY. CITY OR LOCAL AGENCIES.
14. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT EACH DAY AND
REMOVE ALL MUD, DIRT, GRAVEL AND LOOSE MATERIALS TRACKED, DUMPED,
SPILLED OR WIND BLOWN FROM THE SITE ONTO OTHER SITES, RIGHT OF WAYS,
PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, STREETS OR ROADS, DRIVEWAYS, YARDS OR SIDEWALKS.
THE CONTRACTOR MUST CLEAN OR PICK UP DAILY IF NECESSARY. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL REDUCE THE AIRBORNE DUST DURING THE ENTIRE
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE. WATER MAY BE USED AS A REDUCER.
15. THE UTILITIES INDICATED ON THESE PLANS AND ON THE SURVEY MAY NOT BE A
COMPLETE INVENTORY OF ALL THE EXISTING UTILITIES PRESENT ON AND
AROUND THIS SITE. THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF THESE UTILITIES MAYBE
APPROXIMATE. THIS INFORMATION WAS GATHERED OR SUPPLIED BY OTHERS
AND USED BY THE A/E AND MAY NOT BE ACTUAL THE A/E SHALL NOT BE
HELD LIABLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR MISLEADING UTILITY INFORMATION
INDICATED, IMPLIED OR NOT INDICATED ON THESE PLANS.
16. T IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR "0 ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH
THE SOIL CONDITIONS.
17. ALL EXISTING MANHOLES AND CATCH BASIN GRATES, WATER OR GAS VALVES
SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO NEW FINISH GRADE ELNATION.
1 8. ALL EXISTING STRUCTURES, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED TO REMAIN, FENCING,
TREES, HAND ETC., WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA SHALL BE REMOVED AND
DISPOSED OF OFFSITE. ANY BURNING ONSI SHALL BE SUBJECT TO FEDERAL.
STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL ORDINANCES AND LOWE'S SPECIFICATONS.
19. ALL CONCRETE PPE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM -C -76 CLASS III.
20. ALL DRAINAGE STRUCTURES SHALL BE PRECAST.
21. ALL DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND STORM PIPES SHALL MEET HEAVY DUTY
TRAFFIC (1120) LOADING AND BE INSTALLED ACCORDINGLY.
22. SITE GRADING SHALL NOT PROCEED UNTIL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES HAVE
BEEN INSTALLED.
