GRADING DRAINAGE NOTES:
1. ALL EXCAVATED AREAS TO BE SEEDED OR SODDED AFTER FINAL GRADING
UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. SEE LANDSCAPE PUN AND /OR EROSION CONTROL
PLAN FOR DIRECTION AND VERIFICATION.
2. PROVIDE POSITIVE DRAINAGE IN ALL PAVED AREAS WITHOUT PONDING WATER.
THE PAVING CONTRACTOR SHALL TEST ALL PAVED AREAS FOR BIRD BATH
CONDITIONS BY FLOODING THE ENTIRE PAVEMENT AREA WITH WATER AND
MARKING THE PONDED AREAS PRIOR TO THE INSTALIATKIN OF THE TOPPING
COURSE CORRECTION SHALL BE MADE IF NECESSARY.
3. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY ALL DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS IN THE FIELD
PRIOR ID THE START OF CONSTRUCTKIN. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL FIELD DIMENSIONS AND ELEVATIONS DURING THE ENTIRE
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE. IF ANY DISCREPANCIES ARE FOUND IN THESE
ENGINEERING PLANS, LANDSCAPE PLANS, OR SURVEY PLANS FROM ACTUAL
FIELD CONDITIONS, THE CONTRACTOR SHUT CONTACT THE A/E IMMEDIATELY.
4. ALL CONTRACTOR(S) BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE EXCAVATING CONTRACTOR(S)
MUST TAKE PARTICULAR CARE WHEN EXCAVATING IN AND AROUND EXISTING
UTILITY UNES AND EQUIPMENT. ACTUAL FIELD LOCATIONS OF ALL THE EXISTING
UTILITIES ARE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY AND MUST BE LOCATED
EITHER BY THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY COMPANY OR BY A PRIVATE
UNDERGROUND UTILITY LOCATION COMPANY PRIOR TO THE START OF
EXCAVATING. VERIFY MINIMUM COVER REQUIREMENTS BY THE UTILITY COMPANY
OR CONTRACTOR(S) SO AS NOT TO CAUSE DAMAGE.
5. T IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY ALL UTILITY COMPANIES AND
DEPARTMENTS 72 HOURS BEFORE COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION ACTMIIES TO
VERIFY ANY UTILfES THAT WAY BE PRESENT ON SITE. ALL VERIFICATIONS,
LOCATIONS, SIZE ANO DEPTHS SHALL BE MADE BY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY
COMPANIES OR DEPARTMENTS. WHEN EXCAVATING AROUND OR OVER COSTING
UTILITIES, THE CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY THE UTLTY COMPANY OR
DEPARTMENT SO A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY CAN BE PRESENT WRING
THE EXCAVATION TO INSTRUCT AND OBSERVE DURING THE EXCAVATION.
6. TRENCHES FOR ALL UTILITIES SHALL BE BACKFILLED COMPLETELY WITH
APPROVED ENGINEERED GRANULAR MATERIAL SUITABLE TO THE A/E. SEE THE
APPROPRIATE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE APPROVED MATERIALS.
7. ALL PROPOSED SPOT ELEVATIONS ARE THE FINAL TOP OF PAVEMENT, TOP OF
CURB OR FINAL GRADE ELEVATION. TO DETERMINE THE SUBGRADE ELEVATION
REQUIRED BELOW A PROPOSED FINAL ELEVATION, SEE APPROPRIATE DETAIL
8. HEAVY CONSTRUCTION EQUIPMENT AND TRAFFIC MAY CREATE PUMPING MID
GENERAL DETERIORATION OF THE SHALLOWER SOILS IF EXCESS SURFACE WATER
IS PRESENT. PROPER PRECAUTIONARY S1tVS MUST BE TAKEN DURING THE
ENTIRE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE TO ALLEVIATE SUCH DAMAGE.
9. ALL CONSTRUCTION METHODS AND MATERIALS MUST CONFORM TO CURRENT
STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR
LOCAL REQUIREMENTS, WHICHEVER HAS JURISDICTION.
10. EXISTING PAVEMENTS, SIDEWALKS, CURBS, DRIVEWAYS, ELECTRICAL
TRANSFORMERS AND PADS, DITCHES, DRAINAGE PIPES AND STRUCTURES,
FENCES, LAWNS, TREES, BUSHES, MAILBOXES, SIGNS, POWER P0115, ETC., TO
REMAIN AND BE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE BY THE CONTRACTOR. ANY DAMAGE
DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE RESTORED, RECONSTRUCTED OR REPLACEO
BY THE CONTRACTOR AT HIS EXPENSE. ALL DAMAGES SHALL BE RESTORED OR
REPLACED TO AT LEAST THEIR ORIGINAL CONCTION OR AS REQUIRED OR
DICTATED BY FEDERAL, STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL AGENCIES.
1. T IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO OBTAIN ALL FEDERAL, STATE,
COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL PERMITS FOR ANY AND ALL WORK REQUIRED UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED. THE CONTRACTOR S RESPONSIBLE TO PAY FOR ALL
REQUIRED PERMITS BY MAY OR ALL AGENCIES MENTIONED ABOVE UNLESS
OTHERWISE NOTED IN THE CONTRACT OR SPECIFICATIONS.
12. T SHUT BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO BARE ALL EXPENSES
TO REMOVE, RELOCATE MID /OR MODIFY ALL UTILITIES, PRIVATE OR PUBUC, OR
OTHERWISE. IT FURTHER SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR
TO VERIFY WITH EACH UTILITY COMPANY OR DEPARTMENT WHO IS RESPONSIBLE
TO REMOVE, RELOCATE, AND /OR MODIFY SUCH UTILITY EXISTING OR PROPOSED.
T FURTHER SHALL BE THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO VERIFY IF MY
FUTURE UTILITIES ARE PLANNED AND HOW T MAY AFFECT THIS PROJECT AND
ITS OWNER PS TO THEIR FUTURE RESPONSIBWTES.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE TO PROVIDE AT HIS EXPENSE ALL
AUTOMOBILE AND PEDESTRIAN TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES REQUIRED BY
FEDERAL. STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL AGENCIES.
14. IT IS THE RESPONSNILTY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT EACH DAY MID
REMOVE ALL MUD, DIRT, GRAVEL AND LOOSE MATERIALS TRACKED, DUMPED,
SPILLED OR WIND BLOWN FROM THE SITE ONTO OTHER SITES, RIGHT OF WAYS,
PUBUC OR PRIVATE, STREETS OR ROADS, DRIVEWAYS, YARDS OR SIDEWALKS.
THE CONTRACTOR MUST CLEAN OR PICK UP DAILY IF NECESSARY. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL REDUCE THE AIRBORNE DUST DURING THE ENTIRE
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE_ WATER MAY BE USED AS A REDUCER.
15. THE UTILITIES INDICATED ON THESE PLANS AND ON THE SURVEY MAY NOT BE A
COMPLETE INVENTORY OF ALL THE EXISTING UTILITIES PRESENT ON AND
MOUND THIS SITE. THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF THESE UTILTES MAYBE
APPROXIMATE. THIS INFORMATION WAS GATHERED OR SUPPLED BY OTHERS
AND USED BY THE A/E AND MAY NOT BE ACTUAL. THE A/E SHALL NOT BE
HELD LIABLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR MISLEADING UTILITY INFORMATION
INDICATED, IMPLIED OR NOT INDICATED ON THESE PLANS.
16. T IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO ACQUAINT THEMSELVES WITH
THE SOIL CONDITIONS.
17. NI EXISTING MANHOLES AND CATCH BASIN GRAYS, WATER OR GAS VALVES
SHALL BE ADJUSTED TO NBV FINISH GRADE ELEVATION.
18. ML EXISTING STRUCTURES, UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED TO REMAIN, FENCING,
TREES, AND ETC., WITHIN THE CONSTRUCTION AREA SHALL BE REMOVED AND
DISPOSED OF OFFSITE. ANT BURNING ONSTE SHALL BE SUBJECT TO FEDERAL,
STATE, COUNTY, COY OR LOCAL ORDINANCES AND LOWE SPECIFICATIONS.
19. ALL CONCRETE PIPE SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH ASTM -C -76 CLASS 19.
20. AIL DRAINAGE STRUCTURES SHAT. BE PRECAST.
21. ALL DRAINAGE STRUCTURES AND STORM PIPES SHALL MEET HEAVY DUTY
TRAFFIC (H20) LOADING AND BE INSTALLED ACCORDINGLY.
22. SITE GRADING SHALL NOT PROCEED UNTIL EROSION CONTROL MEASURES HAVE
BEEN INSTALLED
