UTILITY NOTES:
T IS THE CONTRACTORS RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY ALL UTIuTY COMPANIES AND
DEPARTMENTS 72 HOURS BEFORE COMMENCING CONSTRUCTION ACTMTIES TO
VERIFY ANY UTILITIES THAT MAY BE PRESENT ON SITE. ALL VERIFICATIONS,
LOCATIONS, SIZE AND DEPTHS SHALL BE MADE BY THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY
COMPANIES OR DEPARTMENTS. WHEN EXCAVATING AROUND OR OVER EXISTING
UTILITIES, THE CONTRACTOR MUST NOTIFY THE UTILITY COMPANY OR
DEPARTMENT SO A REPRESENTATIVE OF THE UTILITY CAN BE PRESENT DURING
THE EXCAVATION TO INSTRUCT AND OBSERVE DURING THE EXCAVATION.
2. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO INSPECT EACH DAY ANO
REMOVE ALL MUD, DIRT, GRAVEL AND LOOSE MATERIALS TRACKED, DUMPED,
SPILLED OR WIND BLOWN FROM THE SRE ONTO OTHER SITES, RIGHT OF WAYS,
PUBLIC OR PRNATE, STREETS OR ROADS, DRIVEWAYS, YARDS OR SIDEWALKS.
THE CONTRACTOR MUST CLEAN OR PICK UP DAILY F NECESSARY. THE
CONTRACTOR SHALL REDUCE THE AIRBORNE DUST DURING THE ENTIRE
CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE WATER MAY BE USED AS A REDUCER.
3. ALL SEWER SYSTEM ONES, STRUCTURES AND APPURTENANCES SHALL BE
CONSTRUCTED ACCORDING TO STATE, CITY, AND /OR LOCAL SANITARY SEWER
SPECIFICATIONS, CODES AND REGULATIONS, USING THE LATEST EDITION.
4. CONSTRUCTION SHALL NOT BEGIN UNTIL ALL APPUCABLE PERMITS ARE
OBTAINED.
5. ROOF DRAINS, FOUNDATION DRANS, MD OTHER CLEAN WATER DISCHARGE ARE
NOT PERMITTED INTO THE SANITARY SEWER FACILITY.
6. ALL FIELD TILES ENCOUNTERED DURING THE CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
REROUTED AND REPLACED
7. ALL SIDE SLOPES GREATER THAN 3:1 WILL BE SODDED OR STABILIZED WITH
EROSION CONTROL BLANKET.
8. ALL AREAS DISTURBED DURING CONSTRUCTION SHALL HAVE TEMPORARY SEEDING
AND MULCHING INSTALLED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE
9. WHERE WATER ONES AND SANITARY SEWERS CROSS AND 111E WATER UNE
CANNOT BE PLACED ABOVE OR BELOW THE SEWER WITH A MINIMUM OF 18"
VERTICAL CLEARANCE, THE SEWER MUST BE CONSTRUCTED OF WATER WORKS
GRADE DUCTILE IRON PIPE WITH MECHANICAL JOINTS OR PLASTIC (SIR 26)
SEWER PIPE WITH GASKETED, SEWER PIPE WITH GASKETED, COMPRESSION -TYPE
JOINTS.
10. WHERE WATER UNES AND SANITARY SEWER LINES RUN PARALLEL AND A
MINIMUM SEPARATION DISTANCE OF 10' -0" CANNOT BE MAINTAINED, TF& SEWER
MUST BE CONSTRUCTED OF WATER WORKS GRADE DUCTILE IRON SEWER PIPE
WITH GASKETED, COMPRESSION -TYPE JOINTS.
11. ALL PIPE LENGTHS SHOWN ON DRAWINGS ARE FOR HYDRAUUC CALCULATION
PURPOSES ONLY. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO
DETERMINE THE EXACT LENGTHS REQUIRED FOR ACTUAL INSTALLATION.
12. THE UTILITIES INDICATED ON THESE PLANS AND ON THE SURVEY MAY NOT BE A
COMPLETE INVENTORY OF ALL THE EXISTING UTILIES PRESENT ON AND
MOUND THIS SITE. THE LOCATION AND SIZE OF THESE IMUTIES MAYBE
APPROXIMATE. THIS INFORMATION WAS GATHERED OR SUPPUED BY OTHERS AND
USED BY THE A/E ANO MAY NOT BE ACTUAL THE WE SHALL NOT BE HELD
LIABLE FOR ANY INCORRECT OR MISLEADING UTILITY INFORMATION INDICATED,
IMPLIED OR NOT INDICATED ON THESE PLANS.
13. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL CONSULT ARCHITECTURAL, PLUMBING AND ELECTRICAL
PLANS FOR: INVERT ELEVATIONS M40 EXACT LOCATION OF DOWNSPOUTS, WATER
UNES, TRANSFORMERS PAD OR POLE, ETC.
4. ALL PAVEMENT PATCHING DUE TO UTILITY INSTALLATION, CONSTRUCTION OF
CURBS, ETC., OR DAMAGE TO EXISTING PAVEMENTS DURING CONSTRUCTION
SHALL BE PATCHED WITH A PAVEMENT SECTION WHICH MEETS OR EXCEEDS THE
EXISTING SECTION BY THE CONTRACTOR DOING THE WORK.
15. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL RECOGNIZE RESPECTIVE WORK AND SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING LOCATION, SIZE, AND ELEVATION OF THE EXISTING
UTILITIES, STRUCTURES, PIPES, PAVEMENTS, ETC. AS RELATED TO THEIR WORK.
NOTIFY A/E OF ANY CONFLICT AND /OR DISCREPANCIES IN THE CONSTRUCTION
DOCUMENTS, PRIOR TO THE START OF CONSTRUCTION.
5. ALL EXISTING MANHOLES MD CATCH BASIN GRATES, WATER OR GAS VALVES
SEAL BE ADJUSTED TO NEW FINISH GRADE ELEVATION
7. ALL CONSTRUCTION METHODS, MATERIALS, STRUCTURES A40 APPURTENANCES
MUST CONFORM TO CURRENT STANDARDS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE
FEDERAL STATE, COUNTY, CITY OR LOCAL REQUIREMENTS, WHICHEVER HAS
JURISDICTION.
18. ALL WORK WITHIN RIGHT OF WAY SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE APPROPRIATE
REGULATORY AGENCY.
19. IF ALTERNATE MATERIALS, STRUCRIRES OR APPURTENANCES ME TO BE
SUPPLIED IT SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CONTRACTOR TO NOTIFY
THE A/E AND SUBMIT SHOP DRAWINGS AN0 COST DIFFERENTIALS PRIOR TO
CONSTRUCTION.
200. R =INCHES FOR ALL UTILITIES SHALL BE BACKFILED COMPLLIELY WITH
APPROVED ENGINEERED GRANULAR MATERIAL SUITABLE TO THE A/E. SEE THE
APPROPRIATE DETAILS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR PTE APPROVED MATERIALS.
21. CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE 212'X8" THICK CONCRETE APRON AT ALL CLFANOUTS
OUTSIDE OF BUILDING.
22. UTILITY CONTRACTOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL TAP AND TIE ON FEES
REQUIRED, AS WELL AS COST OF UNDERGROUND SERVICE CONNECTIONS TO THE
BUILDING.
23. ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO PAD MOUNTED TRANSFORMER SHALL l BE RUN
UNDERGROUND FROM PROPERTY UNE TO TRANSFORMER LOCATION, ASSOCIATED
COST BY UTILITY CONTRACTOR.
