Contractor for s of field Merit' all existing conditions. 2) Contractor shall be responsible to contact all utility companies including but not limited to the following: electric, gas, water, telephone, storm sewer, and sanitary ,:f. for field location of all underground and overhead utility lines. Contractor shah be responsible to disconnect, remove to the property line (unless noted otherwise and .,ern,, per applicable utility company's requirements, all such utility lines servicing the existing site, contractor shall be responsible for any and all disconnect fees and inspections required. Contractor shall not remove utility services to off -site locations, but shall identify and locate such lines to the owner and protect them from damage. 3) Limits of contract to extend up to, and include, the :property lines and shall not extend beyond these limits onto public or private property, except as indicated on the drawings. 4) Contractor shall comply with all necessary fire safety re uirements in accordance with NFPA 13 and currently adopted city and state codes. 5) All remaining valve lids, meter lids, curb boxes and manholes to be left in service. 6) Contractor shall provide traffic handling measures as necessary to protect the general public at all times, and as required by the city and state regulations. 7) All known hazardous material within building shall have been removed prior to the commencement of building demolition. If any hazardous material are encountered, contractor shall not remove, and shall notify owner immediately. 8) This demolition plan outlines the scope of the work involved for the demolition phase of this project. Contractor shall also refer to (SHEET 0102 &C ARCHITECTURAL PLANS) tor proposed building and utility location information. 9) All finish material, (floor, walls and ceiling), partition walls, fixtures, plumbing, electrical, furniture and equipment to be removed. DEMOLITION GENERAL NOTES 1. Remove and legally dispose of items except those indicated to be reinstalled, salvaged, or to remain the Owner's property. 2. Protect construction indicated to remain against damage and soiling during demolition. Remove debris to ensure minimum interference with roads, streets, walks, and other adjacent occupied and used facilities. 3. Except for items or materials indicated to be reused, salvaged, reinstalled, or otherwise indicated to remain the Owne s property, demolished materials shall become the Contractor's property and shall be removed from the site with further dispositi .n at the contractor's option 4. Promptly disposed of demolished materials. Do not allow demolished materials to accumulate onsii e. Do not burn demolished materials. 5. Survey existing conditions and correlate with requirements indicated to determine extent of demolition required. 6. When unanticipated mechanical, electrical, or structural elements that conflict with the intended function or design are encountered, investigate and measure the nature and extent of the conflict. Promptly submit a written report to the Engineer. 7. Do not interrupt existing utilities, except when authorized in writing by authorities having jurisdiction. Provide temporary services during interruptions to existing utilities, as acceptable to governing authorities. 8. Where utility services are required to be removed, relocated, or abandoned, provide bypass connections to maintain continuity of service before proceeding with demolition. 9. Ensure safe passage of people around demolition area. 10. Protect existing site improvements, appurtenances, and landscaping to remain. Including, but not limited to existing trees and other vegetation indicated to remain in place against unnecessary cutting, breaking, or skinning of roots, skinning or bruising of bark, smothering of trees by stockpiling construction materials or excavated materials within drip line. 11. Return elements of construction and surfaces to remain to conditions existing before start of demolition operations. 12. Promptly patch and repair damaged surfaces caused to adjacent construction by demolition operation. 13. Construction shall not begin until a pre construction meeting; attended by the Contractor, Engineer, and companies' representitives, has bVen held. 14.
