Ramona,
The original idea of SW Clay and roads related to a "park" style roads to maintain the rural look of the area.
Thus, the important point is to maintain the rural feel of the area given the housing stock in the area. We also did not want
a "bunch" of land taken as the roads are remodeled.
Thank you,
Brian

Dear Ramona,
1 have read the new proposal for SW Clay with respect to street sizes. As you know, I have worked on streets and
overlays in the area for years. The Michigan Road Overlay Zone and TIFF was the result of my initial thrust. I also
worked with Sharon Clark for the roads in the area to be constructed on less ground.
I agree with many of the proposed ideas of the SW Clay roads except the width needs to be 11 feet instead of 10. There
are too many Escalades, Navigators, Hummers, and teenagers on the roads. The extra foot will save lives. I will be.more
than willing to discuss this issue with anyone from the group that is making the proposals.
Sincerely,
Brian Shapiro.

We support these changes. Is it possible to continue these changes north of the SW area on
Shelborne? It seems to me since most, if not all, Shelborne traffic continues south, why not
treat all of Shelborne the same?
Sincerely,
Marcia and Jim Henry
