FINDINGS OF FACT DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS VARIANCE
1. The approval of this variance will not be injurious to the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of the
community because:
The expansion of our garage has no impact on the public health, safety,
morals, or welfare of the community. Other than our immediate neighbors,
the community will not notice any change.
2. The use and value of the area adjacent to the property included in the variance will not be affected in a
substantially adverse manner because:
The expansion of our garage has little to no impact on the neighboring
properties. Even with this variance, our home will still be farther from the
road than most homes in the neighborhood.
3. The strict application of the terms of the Zoning Ordinance to the property will result in practical difficulties in the
use of the property because:
Because our lot is a corner lot and the way the setback line was drawn, our
property use is unnecessarily restricted. Due to this restriction, our garage is unusually
small and does not allow us shelter to get kids in and out of our cars in bad weather.
DECISION
IT IS THEREFORE the decision of the Carmel /Clay Board of Zoning Appeals that Development Standards Variance
Docket No. is granted, subject to any conditions stated in the minutes of this
Board, which are incorporated herein by reference and made a part hereof.
