Docket No. 08080003 OA: Amendment, Contributing Buildings The applicant seeks approval to amend Zoning Ordinance Chapter 23D.02.B.5, Old Town District Overlay Zone, in order to prevent the demolition of contributing building in Old Town without consent of the Director. Filed by the Department of Community Services, on behalf of the Carmel Plan Commission. Mike Hollibaugh presented for the Department reviewed reasoning for amendment protect contributing buildings from demolition. distributed maps outlining new boundary area reviewed maps indicated contributing building in Old Town and Rangeline Area indicated the new map boundary which would expand the protection of contributing buildings to the perimeter character areas. The site is located at the northeast corner of Community Dr. and Cherry Creek Blvd. and is zoned PUD/Planned Unit Development. Filed by Nick Churchill of Pittman Partners. Nick Churchill, Steve Pittman, Pete Powers, Ivan Barratt represented Pittman Partners. Nick Churchill presented for the petitioner. reviewed the planned construction of 33 alley loaded single family detached homes. the sole outstanding issue is to provide character exhibits of garages color photos were distributed were from a new urban community in St. Louis possible maintenance free living may be offered. Department Report it is the opinion of the Department that this item be forwarded to the full Plan Commission. Concerns Expressed no windows in the garages.
