General Site Work Notes and Specifications
1. The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining or
verifying that all permits and approvals have been filed for
and are valid and in—force from the respective city, county,
state, and federal agencies prior to starting construction.
2. It shall be the Contractors responsibility to determine
the exact location of all existing utilities in the general
project area prior to beginning construction.
3. it shall be the Contractors responsibility to notify and
coordinate all construction with respective utility companies.
4. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to
maintain quality control throughout the duration of
construction. Failure to do so may result in the engineer
requiring that the defective work be removed and replaced.
5. All work will be performed in accordance with these plans
and specifications. Any and all changes to these plans and
specifications ll be approved by the engineer in writing
or said changes will be subject to removal and replacement
aI:. no cost to the developer.
6. The contractor shall be responsible for verification of
all plan quantities and plan dimensions as shown herein.
7. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
S for Excavation, Final Rule 29 CFR Part 1926,
Subpart "P" applies to all excavations exceeding five (5)
feet in depth.
8. Any trench excavations exceeding twenty (20) feet in
depth shall require a trench safety system that has been
designed and/or approved in writing by a registered
professional engineer.
