HomeMy WebLinkAbout036-01 C-204 Site Grading Plan - South ParcelW co 2 General Site Work Notes and Specifications 1, The Contractor shall be responsible for obtaining or verifying that all permits and approvals have been filed for and are valid and in —force from the respective city, county, state, and federal agencies prior to starting construction. 2, It shall be the Contractors responsibility to determine the exact location of all existing utilities in the general project area prior to beginning construction. 3, It shall be the Contractors responsibility to notify and coordinate all construction with respective utility companies, 4. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to maintain quality control throughout the duration of construction. Failure to do so may result in the engineer requiring that the defective work be removed and replaced. 5. All work will be performed in accordance with these plans and specifications. Any and all changes to these plans and specifications shall be approved by the engineer in writing or said changes will be subject to removal and replacement at no cost to the developer. 6. The contractor shall be responsible for verification of all plan quantities and plan dimensions as shown herein. 7. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Standards for Excavation, Final Rule 29 CFR Part 1926, Subpart P applies to all excavations exceeding five (5) feet in depth, 8. Any trench excavations exceeding twenty (20) feet in depth shall require a trench safety system that has been designed and/or approved in writing by a registered f 1 =el 9. All grades at boundary shall meet existing grades. 2, Al! topsoil shall be placed in mounding areas and nonstructural fill areas. Upon completion of mass earthwork, topsoil shall be spread to a depth of four to six (4 to 6) inches in areas to be seeded such as lake slopes, mound areas, areas between curb and clearing limits, and all disturbed areas outside of building and parking areas, extra topsoil shall be disposed of offsite, 3, Straw bale dams, sediment pits and silt fences shall be utilized to control erosion. See erosion control plan for additional information. 4. Existing utility locations are approximate, contractor to field verify horizontal and vertical locations prior to major earthwork, within the proposed construction limits, 5. The intent of these plans is to use all fill material onsite, 6, Building pad and pavement areas designated for fill shall be constructed of suitable fill material and compacted per specifications. All fill areas for building areas, pavement areas and streets are to be stripped of topsoil prior o placement of fill. 7, Contractor shall preserve existing trees wherever possible. Owner and owner's representative shall be consulted for clearing limits. Clearing limits shall consist of all trees within street areas, utility installation limits and cut fill areas, 8. Topographic and planimetrlc information was provided by P.I, Gripe, Inc, Any discrepancies shall be reported to the engineer. 9. After permits have been obtained erosion control measures installed, the contractor shall grade building pad, garden center aprons to a tolerance of ±0,1 ft. of subgrade as per division 2 compaction specifications. 10. Immediately apply compact stone base for building pad to a tolerance of ±0.04 (1/2 of the concrete subgrade as per division 2 specifications. Stone shall be applied prior to excavating interior perimeter footings, 11, Compact maintain 30,000 sq. ft, of 6" thick stone material laydown area 25 foot wide gravel access road to building. Laydown area to be located by Lowe 's project manager. 12. All existing structures, unless otherwise noted to remain, fencing, trees, etc., Within construction area shall be removed disposed of off site. Any burning on site shall be subject to local ordinances Lowes specifications. 13, Contractor shall notify all utility companies having underground utilities on site or in right —of —way prior to excavation. Contractor shall contact utility locating company and locate all utilities prior to grading start, 14. Site grading shall not proceed until erosion control measures have been installed. 15. All concrete pipes shall be in accordance to astm —c-76 class 111. 16. All drainage structures shall be pre —cast. 17. All drainage structures and storm sewer pipes shall meet heavy duty traffic (h20) loading and be installed accordingly. 18. SICP Smooth Interior Corrugated Plastic Pipes fittings may be utilized for pipe sizes 12" or smaller, from the following manufacturers: A.D.S.—N12 MFRD.
