Parking in the grass is prohibited as per Carmel Zoning Ordinance $ 27.02 Location of Required Parking Spaces, which states: 27.02.04 Parking spaces may be located on any part of a lot, unless otherwise specified herein. Parking spaces shall not be located in any required greenbelt or lawn area. To avoid further enforcement action, please discontinue parking vehicles on unpaved surfaces/greenbelt areas by May 5, 2010. Failure to do so will result in further enforcement action to include the issuance of daily citations for as long as the violation(s) persist, and a mandatory appearance in Carmel City Court.
