In this area are a large silver maple (Ater saccharinum), two hackberries (Celtis occidentalis), two black cherries (Prunus serotina) and a tulip poplar (Liriodendron tulipifera). Some of these trees may be boundary trees and one black cherry is primarily dead. We discussed the importance to preserve these trees because they are co- owned by the lot owner (currently Blackwell Park partners eventually the Grahams) and the owner of lot to the north. We also determined that it would be in the best interest of the Grahams to remove the dead cherry while performing lot clearance. We also determined to keep any smaller trees in the north landscape border for screening. We discussed the trees to the west which are actually not on Lot D but on the City of Carmel road right of way. The center of the lot consists of sick and dying Austrian Pines (Pinus nigra) and a large portion is a natural clearing. We determined various procedures to limit the stress and damage to the trees to be preserved. Specific procedures for the north landscape border were determined to be: o Installation of tree preservation fencing. o Installation of Tree Preservation Area signage. o We determined to remove one 4 inch elm in the landscape buffer area because it grows directly into the proposed house foot print. o We discussed utility installation and ways to route utilities away from the trees. I certify that all the statements of fact in this report are true, complete and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that they are made in goo; -g a trees have been inspected for preservation concerns and not for risk assessment concerns.
