5. Docket No. 11020007 ADLS Amend: Hamilton Crossing West, Bldg. 3 Signage
The applicant seeks approval to install one new wall sign on the south elevation of the building.
The site is located at 12800 N. Meridian St. and is zoned B -2 /Business within the US 31 Overlay Zone.

The applicant seeks approval to add a fourth sign to this building. Currently three signs are allowed by previous
variance and ADLS Amend. Two signs face Meridian Street, and one sign faces south to Carmel Dr. The fourth
proposed sign would also face south to Carmel Dr. on the west end of the elevation. The addition of the fourth sign
would stay within the allowable sigpage square footage of three signs. This amount is the 285 sq. ft. proposed. The
existing signs take up 211.26 sq. ft. This leaves 73.74 sq. ft. for the fourth sign. The sign package will remain the
same: all signs are to be reverse illuminated with trim caps and returns to be black. The face color of the sign is not
specified, but is approved on a case by case basis with the landlord. Logos cannot exceed more than 25% of the
total sign area, as is required by the Sign Ordinance.

Recommendation: After all comments /concerns are addressed, the Dept of Community Services (DOCS)
recommends that the Committee votes to approve this item.
