This letter is to inform you that an inquiry has been made to our department regarding a
possible business located at 21 Sleepy Hollow Lane. Please be advised that this property is in
a R-2/Residence District, and may only be used for the following purposes: single-family
dwelling, home occupation or residential kennel. For your information, enclosed is Section
25.18 of the Carmel/Clay Zoning Ordinance, which sets out standards for Home Occupations.
• Any business activities that occur outside of these standards could be construed as a
commercial use of the property.

In an effort to uniformly enforce ordinances of the City of Carmel and Clay Township, it is
our policy to investigate all inquires. A representative from the department of Community
Services made an evaluation of the alleged infraction and determined that a violation may
exist. Your help in correcting this possible violation is requested before any further action is
taken.
Please contact the inspector below to respond to this matter within ten (10) calendar
days.

AK spoke with Don Kincaid on this date. He assures that he is not running a business from the house,
but he does have a lot of equipment He does have a shop that he stores most of it located near 156th
and Towne Road. He did not think about his trailer causing a problem in the neighborhood and he will
move it. AK also asked him to be consious of storing his plow blade in the drive for long period at a
time. AK will update filer. AK
