Jim -----Original Message ----- From: jthomas@hearthview.com [mailto:jthomas@hearthview.com] Sent: Thursday, April 17, 2003 7:39 PM To: jbrainard@ci.carmel.in.us Subject: Davis Property near the Monon Mayor, Sorry to bug you with little stuff during the end of the election season, but I've got a favor to ask regarding the property that Hearthview is coming in for zoning on, next to the Monon. I spoke with the homeowner tonight. Evidently the guy that bought the Overman property at the tax sale is almost as "colorful" as the previous resident. (No word yet on any potential affiliation with unnamed covert agencies...) Since taking ownership, the new owner apparently hasn't bothered to mow and has now even accessorized the lawn with a surplus refrigerator. It's giving this poor, nice homeowner fits as she tries to pull out looking west over the Monon "bump" and through this guy's tall weeds. Of course, not knowing the relatively stability of the person involved, I'm sure she doesn't want to be quoted as the formal source of a complaint, but this seems like an easy, direct issue for the City's inspectors or the appropriate agency. If you could ask the appropriate person to take a look when they're in the area, I'm sure that the homeowner would appreciate it, and maybe even remember you in a couple weeks... :) We're filing the TAC plans early next week and should thus be into the Planning Commission and City Council after the election. Take care.
