thank you Karen
i am able to provide a bit more of an update. Jeff Kendall and I met last friday with Cliff White who is the
president of Trinity, to get a better feel for what is happening in Plum Creek with the mold problem. According to
Cliff, Trinity will be doing more than 20 mold remediations, at an average cost of more than $100k... they appear
committed to making things right with the owners.
the issue was raised and discussed about materials and work crews blocking/littering the right-of-way, and
causing a problem with some of the residents in the neighborhood. Cliff absolutely understands the problem and
made a commitment to correct it ... but also was upfront that it probably would not happen until after memorial day
(a number of his workers were off friday thru monday), he also understood it was likely they would be ticketed if
the problem did not improve
all for now

Subject: CODE ENFORCEMENT NOT HAPPENING
Dear Mayor Brainard,

I really hate to be a broken record, but I have seen little to no progress being made in my
neighborhood regarding regarding code enforcement of cleaning the city streets and sidewalks.
Provided is a list of properties in violation of code:
12613 Plum Creek Blvd - Brick piled up and blocking sidewalk
12751 Plum Creek Blvd - Brick all over street and sidewalk
12763 Plum Creek Blvd - Sand/brick you name it all over treelawn/sidewalk/street
5955 Sandalwood - Sand, brick, ect totally blocking sidewalk/spilling out into street
5949 Sandalwood - Sand, etc totally blocking sidewalk/spilling out into the street
I don't understand why Trinity has not made an effort to correct these situations. Can you please
give me a call at my office to discuss next steps. I would be more than happy to meet you at my
home any night this week to walk the street. I think Trinity has had more than enough time to
contact their vendors.
Thanks!

Contractors have been blocking sidewalks as a result of removing bricks from homes in
this subdivision. This will continue to be a problem is this area.

RE: Plum Creek Blvd. Complaints
thanks Steve
i don't remember talking with him, it may have been that I spoke with him a year ago. phyllis tells me that she and connie
have taken turns talking with him. we have two complaints in the system. adrienne has already been out, not familiar
with what she has discovered.
i would like to briefly address his point number 8. our inspectors did inspect, and the homes met code for air space (1"
between brick and wall), and construction materials (USB board is approved for exterior use, with brick) there seems to
be a concentrated "pocket" of mold in the plum creek area. Trinity is actively involved in fixing things out there, phyllis'
home is one being rebricked.
i will follow-up with updates to you and mayor if needed.
thanks
mike

Subject: Plum Creek Blvd. Complaints
Tom Stillman was in to see the Mayor this morning. He indicated during the conversation that he had talked with you
about his complaints, and that you had asked that he detail them in a written report. He advised us and the Mayor
who happened to walk in while Tom was talking to me and Karen, that he was not going to write anything. He left
pictures of the neighborhood area which I will get to you, and explained his concerns to the Mayor. You have
probably heard them from him, but for the sake of comparison here are the comments he made.
1. Drainage in the area is bad. The area between his yard and the golf course was never completed and there
are ponding issues affecting his yard. He was told by the Mayor to see Engineering on this issue, which he left here
to do.
2. His overarching concerns involve the efforts underway to repair faulty construction by Trinity Homes on the
dwellings in this area.
3. Brick is being taken off of the homes and replaced.
4. Plywood under the brick is black, which he indicates has been confirmed as mold.
5. Biohazard refuse, (Mold -laden wood and materials) is not being properly handled and removed expeditiously.
6. The removal of brick is indiscriminate, meaning that the crews just through the refuse anywhere which often
times means it intrudes on adjacent private property, destroys lawns, etc.
7. Brick, refuse, and sand for reconstruction efforts litters the street, blocks sidewalks, etc.
8. He mentioned to the Mayor that in his and other neighbor's minds, the City failed to inspect the construction of
these homes adequately and therefore is at risk on this as well.
9. He is aware that the same models of homes have been constructed by Trinity in Fairgreen Trace, and
wonders if there is the possibility that the same substandard construction issues exist there.
That pretty well sums up the issues as I recall his comments. The Mayor advised Tom that with the exception of the
drainage issue, these are problems for investigation by the Code Enforcement Inspector and mentioned Adrienne by
name. Also asked that I send this note to you for action. You should consider contacting Tom to give him some idea
of what is being done on his behalf by the City. His contact information and address are. 12685 Plum Creek Blvd.
Cell Phone- 997-5628, and Home 846-8427. Other properties that demonstrate the refuse proliferation issues are
12672 and 12673 Plum Creek Blvd. Thanks.
