Your generosity greatly contributed to our third successful year, and strengthened our dedication to being a strong force in the Carmel Community. We are committed to becoming a fixture in Hamilton County and bringing our many years of professional theatrical experience to Carmel through educational programs and high quality entertainment. Actors Theatre of Indiana is proud to have been voted the "Best Theatre Group in Indy 2007" by WRTV channel 6, as well as having our production of A Year With Frog and Toad chosen as one of the "A E's Best of 2007" by Lou Harry of the Indianapolis Business Journal. We eagerly anticipate the completion of the Carmel Performing Arts Center and look forward to calling it home. We know we will be a strong addition to the facility and will stay true to your vision of making the Center one of the finest in the nation. Here are some of the ways Actors Theatre of Indiana contributed to the Carmel Community during 2007: Placed Carmel's City Partnership logo on all PR materials including postcards, programs and newspaper ads, which reached over 350,000 households; Sang at the Carmel City Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on March 13 followed by an interview by WISH TV Channel 8 where we promoted the Center and Mayor Brainard's vision for Carmel; Presented the second cabaret of our "ATI Cabaret Series BROADWAY BRASS: The Legendary Ladies of Broadway, at The Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel, May I" 2nd; Performed and had an ATI booth at "Carmelfest" July 3rd and 4 h Attended the City Council meeting to support the vote regarding the Arts funding, September 4 1 The cast of The Taffetas performed at the "Carmel International. Festival" on September 22 d; The cast of A Year With Frog and Toad performed at the "Carmel Fall Festival" on October 27` Performed as the Andrews Sisters and sang "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" at the City of Carmel's Veterans Day Ceremony, November 91h; Held our annual fundraiser An Evening to Remember at the Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel, November 10 Offered City of Carmel School Teachers and their students first come special performances of A Year With Frog and Toad December 19" and 20 with $5.00 tickets for students and teachers and chaperones free; Performed as strolling carolers for the Carmel Arts and Design District's "Holiday in the Arts District December 21 St Active members of the Hamilton County Convention and Visitors Bureau. Actors Theatre of Indiana has made it a top priority to do all that we can to be a part of and to enhance the Carmel community, and we look forward to expanding our presence even more in 2008. With that in mind, we are scheduled to have a run of our production of "Forever Plaid" at the Carmel Middle School in April which will include a wonderful opportunity for some Carmel High School students who will be cast as understudies to the four leads in the show. The culmination of this experience will be a special performance where these students will get a chance to perform the roles in a professional setting with a paying audience. It will be very exciting! Of course, we are still continuing our "ATI Cabaret Series" at the Oak Hill Mansion that will run throughout the year, adding a unique and special entertainment option. in Carmel. Every year we become a greater part of Carmel, and we have demonstrated our commitment to your city by opening our new Carmel office. We are steadfast in our dedication to make the Carmel Performing Arts Center our home, but we need help during our wait. Being at the mercy of the limited availability and scheduling of venues, we have been forced to have shorter production runs and only 3 mainstage productions each year. Moving from venue to venue has made our PR demands very high, in order to keep our growing audience base aware of where we are performing. Without a home theater, it has been virtually impossible to start up any educational progr that would further help us with funding. Until the Carmel Performing Arts Center becomes a reality, we need financial support. We are hoping the Arts Council will take our continued participation in Carmel events, our mainstage production of Forever Plaid at the Carmel Middle School in April, and the recent opening of our Carmel office as evidence that we are serious about our presence here, and that we are ready to enhance the Carmel Arts Community with a top notch professional organization. We are hoping that the City of Carmel will be able to help .us with a grant of $75,000. The money is greatly needed and will enable us to keep producing and growing while the Performing Arts Center is being completed which will allow us to help Carmel become a top destination for Arts and Culture. We will, as always, offer the City of Carmel and the Carmel Arts District our services whenever they are needed in addition to participating in the many wonderful Carmel events and festivals. We hope that the City of Carmel will continue to support Actors Theatre of Indiana and consider us a worthy not- for profit organization for your resources. "A Year with Frog and Toad, Actors Theatre of Indiana's production of this amphibious friendship saga was a gentle gift to Indy audiences. And "Alone was one of the year's most magical musical moments. Lou Harry, Indianapolis Business Journal "Actors Theatre of Indiana has put themselves at the top of the heap. It's also raised the bar for production standards for every theatre in town Nick Crews, Indianapolis Star "Best Theatre Group in Indy 2007" WRTV Channel 6 If we can receive the above accolades at the mercy of venue availability and scheduling, just think what we can do in our own home with a supportive community behind us!
