RE: NOTE 32/I2.2 BULKHEAD AT HIGH CEILING
Please read the note from the architect below and see the sketch attached to this email; include this work
in your bid; the bulkhead in question is wood framed.
Rich, the high acoustical ceiling was a problem at Fishers per the structural, hence the various
dimensions… For clarity, yes, Brenner’s I2.2 indicates a gypsum board bulkhead with the bottom surface
at 18’-0” AFF and the acoustical ceiling is at 19’-3” (NOT 19’-10” as shown on BDI’s Section). The Type C
lights are 15 3/16” tall, which (if my math is correct) leaves 6” clear between the top of the lights and the
bottom of the parallams. And yes, I agree that wood framing is the most logical for this upper bulkhead
since it has nothing to do with the interior walls – I’ll sketch section(s) for your use… Let me know if that
doesn’t cover everything on this one (and I just saw the next one from you – will respond shortly).
