Fishers, Indiana 46038 RE: CITY CODE VIOLATION — PROPERTY MAINTENANCE/UNSAFE STRUCTURE Dear Mr. Mazanowski: I am writing to your regarding your property located at 1305 Main St. W., Carmel, Indiana, Tax Parcel Number 17-09-26-04-01-012.000. A recent site inspection was performed by this Department on March 3, 2010, in response to complaints regarding the maintenance and safety of the structure/property. This inspection revealed several property maintenancelordinance violations. These violations included: unsecured structure(s), missing/deteriorated gutters and downspouts, deteriorated gutter board, peeling paint on siding and trim, open crawlspace, missing fuse box cover, tree and trash debris. These deficiencies violate the provisions of the Carmel City Code, § 6-79 Public Nuisances Affecting Peace and Safety, § 6-220 Administration of the Property Maintenance Code. and § 6-159 Unsafe Building Regulations. The City of Carmel seeks your voluntary compliance with the Cannel City code. In order to address and resolve the deficiencies it is critical that you or your representative initiate continuous repairs and improvements to the structure/property by April 30, 2010. Please have all structures on the property secured (accessible doors and windows locked or boarded) by March 26, 2010. Failure to secure the property by the specified time will result in the City securing the structure(s) and billing the property owner for contractor and administrative costs. Demolition of the structures on the property is also an option, and Building and Code Services can help secure the necessary permit(s) for razing the structure(s).
