This site is located just south of the LA Fitness outlots (Weston Park) at the southwest corner of 106`" Street
Michigan Rd. The AutoZone site is proposed to connect to the internal access road of that development. The
subject site will be heavily landscaped, and the building will be comprised mostly of brick and glass, with a split
face block foundation. A few green/sustainable building practices will be incorporated.
No variances are needed, thus far: Please view the petitioner's latest information packet for further detail.
Staff's outstanding comments for the petitioner:°
1. Please extend the sidewalk along Northwestern Drive all the way to your west property line.
2. Please add a material change (pavers) or paint stripes to delineate the pedestrian/bicycle connectivity across
and through the parking area to the main door.
3. Please provide a landscape plan for the base of the ground sign. The landscaped area must be at least equal
to the sign area.
4. Please change the wall pack lights (flood paks) to have a 90- degree cut off, and not 45- degree.
5. On the floor plan, can the 8'x8' area along the north side of the building be used for something, instead of
being void space?
6. Please provide the status of your conversations with LA Fitness regarding the connection to the internal
access road of Weston Park.
Recommendation:
