The applicant seeks approval to install :new awnings and signage.
The site is located at 4545 Northwestern Drive and is zoned 1 -1. It is located within the US 421 Overlay Zone.
Filed by Dan Fields of A -1 Expeditors on behalf of Tony Padgett with The Sign Group for the owner.
Petitioner, please note the following:
1. This Item will not be on an agenda of the Technical Advisory Committee.
2. Mailed and Published Public Notice does not need to occur.
3. Proof of Notice is not needed.
4. The Filing Fee and Eight (8) Information packets must be delivered to Plan Commission Secretary, Ramona
Hancock, no later than 12:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011. If filing fee and materials are not delivered by this time,
this application will be continued to the July 5, 2011 meeting.
5. This Item will appear on the Tuesday, June 7, 2011 agenda of the Plan Commission Special Studies Committee
at 6:00 pm in the Caucus Room, Second Floor, City Hall. Please have a representative attend to present your
request.
6. What are the exact dimensions of the sign area for each of the signs proposed? It appears the dimensions on
the graphics are of the awning dimensions.
7. One sign is allowed at 80 sq. ft. If you wanted to split this allowable square footage up between multiple
signs, that would require variance approval. If you would like to install identification signs that are 3 sq. ft. or
less, that can be considered exempt, and therefore allowed. (The above listed fee may be adjusted based on
the size and number of signs.)
8. On the drawings it says the color of the awnings is to be determined. What color will they be?
9. Please have the owner address the other tenants' signage in the building. Why was their signage removed and
not replaced? Why are they not included in this new sign package?
