RE: Granite City Food and Brewery
Dear Mr. Fox:
The following letter represents continents for this project specifically addressing the area of alternative transportation.
I have reviewed the drawings submitted for the July 5, 2011 Plan Commission subcommittee meeting, and offer the

1) The City of Carmel Parking Ordinance requires that all commercial developments include bicycle
parking. Bicycle parking spaces are required at a rate of five (5) bicycle parking spaces per one hundred

Hi Nick I re- looked at the Parkwood Crossing East PUD ordinance, and it states that Minor Alterations can be reviewed
by the Director....So we will take you the route of an Administrative ADLS Amendment approval. We will process your
ADLS Amend application, assign a docket no. and then review and approve the elevations internally, and you will not
have to appear before a subcommittee of the plan commission. Review comments and the docket no. will be sent to
you tomorrow, most likely. The filing fee will still be $301.00.

Hey Angie,
I didn't really get into the plans too much, but one thing I thought we might want to take a look at is their parking. It
would be interesting to see if they included their outdoor seating in the original numbers for parking. And if not, maybe
that is something we should look at this time. I have heard that parking can be kind of tight there. And weren't they
supposed to be able to share parking with the office building west? Those are just a few thoughts I had. Another one is
that 1 am glad they are not completely closing it in and that the windows will still be able to be open during nice
weather.
