-Met with Woody Y. restaurateur to discuss timeline and possible
locations.
-Met with Denise P. and Bob Merrill at Bob Merrill's available space
to otential gallery space and met with contractors.
Art Basel has become the largest most attended art event in the World
has grown to include several individual Art Fairs all featured in the
Miami area. These shows include Scope Miami, Pulse, Bridge Art
fair, Art Miami, Aqua Art Miami, Photo Miami (show featuring
international galleries specializing in strictly photography), Art Now,
Art Fair, Case Decor, Design Miami, Flow Art Fair, Ink Miami (show
featuring international galleries representing works on paper), Red
Dot, and Nada (show strictly for international art dealers and brokers
without galleries).
1214 Handed out materials at Art Miami to potential galleries and 5
reconnected with previously approached galleries to set appointment
for Friday 12/7 to promote and discuss Carmel Arts and Design
District.
1215 Handed out materials at Art Basel and Flow to potential galleries and 6
reconnected with previously approached galleries to set appointments
for Thursday 12/6 to promote and discuss district potential.
12/6 -Met with Will A. director of well established blue chip art gallery in 9
Manhattan. Discussed district and demographics in regards to sales
potential of blue chip art.
-Met with Valerie C. owner of well established Chicago based
progressive contemporary art gallery. Discussed potential similarities
between Chicago and Indpls' client base and cooperative opportunities
-Met with Santiago, owner /director of extremely well established
multiple location A list galleries in NY, London, Madrid, and
Montreal who close their Florida location with thoughts of opening
gallery in Chicago or LA. Discussed Carmel Arts and Design District

and opportunities.
-Met with Per S. director of well known contemporary gallery in NY.
t They have had dealings with IMA and is familiar with Indpls.
-Met with Samantha G. of very well established LA based gallery. She
was introduced to Mayor Brainard years ago and is very familiar with
my gallery and our vision of the district.
-Attended Design Miami and met with multiple showrooms and
manufacturers exhibiting. Handed out materials and discussed
establishing and attendance of a Midwest design event in district.
12/7 -Met with Peter J. owner of well established gallery in Miami also has 9
a long standing relationship with Lurie Galleries. He represents the
finest of Latin American 19` and 20' Century Masters.
-Met with Sergio S. owner of the largest gallery representing 20cn
century Cuban Masters. Not interested in new location in Midwest but
very open to art show collaboration with multi million dollar
collection.
-Met with Lawrence S. owner /director of NY gallery representing well
established contemporary artists (one recently featured in IMA
-Met with Rachel K. director of Chicago based gallery. Gave update
from precious meeting regarding district. Would like to see more
progress of unsubstantiated market to further interest.
Met with Christine director of great commercial gallery in Palm
Beach (has many clients in Ohio and Kentucky). Felt the Midwest
market has potential based on over saturation of other market places.
-Went to Scope Art Fair, spent more time introducing and promoting
district, handed out materials and scouted galleries as potential fits for
Carmel Arts and Design District.
12/8 -Attended Bridge Art Fair and met with Alfredo G. owner of NY 10
based gallery representing New York artists
-Met with Aaron P. director /owner of Chicago Gallery who has clients
in Indpls. Area.
*Met with Carol owner of contemporary gallery in Miami, she has
family in Cincinnati and will be visiting district this Summer
-Met with owner of Boston based gallery, always looking for good
opportunities and requested more info on district.
-Promoted district and discussed participation of a cooperative event
with galleries at Design Miami and Casa Decor.
12/9 -Promoted district, handed out info, discussed opportunities at Ink, 7
Nada, and Red Dot.
12/20 -Met with Denise Frazier Pettee to help coordinate opening of her new 2
space and logistic issues with art.
