Dear Mr. Dobosiewicz:
The following letter represents comments for this project specifically addressing the area of urban
forestry. I have reviewed the project submitted and offer the following comments:
URBAN FORESTRY REVIEW COMMENTS
1) I will not request any additional landscaping requirements for this project however; I will
require that the past approved landscape plan for this site is replanted according to the
plan.
2) The City of Carmel Zoning Ordinance 20A.00.02.B requires that all landscaping required and
approved is perpetually maintained. This refers to replacing dead or dying plant material
with the same noted species and size. The owners of the property are responsible for
maintaining these requirements which, in this case, involves replacing dead or dying
landscaping.
3) I have attached the past landscape plan and have made general notes to the areas that must
be addressed with new landscaping.
Please illustrate how these comments will be addressed by letter or revised plan. If you have any
questions, feel free to contact me. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Daren Mindham

Eric,
will not require a new landscape plan for this project. However, 1 have attached the last project for this site which
landscaping was required. I would like to have the site replanted back to the standards of the attached landscape plan
for Forestry approval. From a quick inspection, there seemed to be two QR missing from the east perimeter, many
shrubs dead or missing on the north perimeter and almost every tree is either dying or missing along the east side of the
building. So essentially for the landscape inspection 1 will be using the attached plan.
Please let me know your thoughts. The rest of the property's landscaping should also be replanted back to the original
approval, but l will only hold this project to the landscaping on the attached plan, I think that is more than fair.

Daren,
I would like to meet and review your comments. An on site meeting may be the most productive so we can see what
landscaping items need to be addressed.
Do you have time the next couple of days to meet? I am available any time this afternoon, tomorrow late AM (9 11) or
after 1:30pm, and any time Wednesday.
Thanks,
Jon

Angie,
We are preparing plans for Millennium Foods, a project located on Mayflower Park Drive on the Southwest side of
Carmel (west of Michigan Road). We are submitting Friday August 19, 2011 fot the September 21 TAC.
We would like to set up a meeting with you, Daren and Jon Dobosiewicz to go over the project. One item in particular is
the Landscape requirements. This is located in the 1 -1 district and as you can see on the attached plan, there is minimal
site work (under 0.25 ac). Can you review this plan with Daren to see if there is a need for a Landscape plan? There is
one, maybe two trees that will need to be either relocated or replaced at the new doc area. 1 was planning on showing
this on the development plan.
After reviewing with Daren, If you feel there isn't a need for a meeting, please let us know.
Thank you,
Eric
