RE: Trip Generation Analysis Creating Order Since 1966 MEMORANDUM 8365 Keystone Crossing, Suite 201 Indianapolis, IN 46240 Phone: (317) 202 -0864 Fax: (317) 202 -0864 www.af eng.com Per your request, I have calculated the traffic that would be generated by the original Silvara plan (1,000 residential units, 18,000 sq. ft. of office, and 52,000 sq. ft. of retail) and the proposed plan of 605 single family units. The following table is a summary of the AM Peak Hour and PM Peak Hour traffic volumes. These volumes were calculated using the Institute of Transportation Engineers Trip Generation Manual, 8th Edition. Based on the trip generation analysis, it has been determined that the proposed 605 single family units will generate significantly fewer trips as compared to the original multi -use plan. The new plan would generate 50% fewer trips to Spring Mill Road. This equates to approximately 273 fewer trips during the AM Peak Hour and approximately 399 fewer trips during the PM Peak Hour. The overall plan would reduce the number of trips at the critical intersections of 116 Street and Spring Mill Road, and 116 Street and Illinois Street.
