L~The apphcant seeks approval for two s~gns. The s~te m located at the southeast comer of
116th Street & Westfield Blvd.. The site is zoned B-3/Business.
Filed by Jeff Morgan of Sign Studio, Inc.
The applicant is requesting ADLS Amendment approval of signage for the Batteries Plus at the
southeast comer of Range Line Road and 116 Street. Please see ~nformat~onal packet d~stnbuted
with the agenda last week.
The property is zoned B-3 Business which requires Plan Commission approval of all signage.
The subject building follows not particular design theme. The existing sign is white on a green
background for this tenant.
Questions:
How is the wall sign to be illuminated?
Does the new panel match the green band on the building?
What alternatives are there to the proposed sign? The Department would favor white
letters allowing the logo to be green and orange.
Please provide more detail regarding the construction of the sign per questions one
and two above.
The text on the existing ground signs appears compatible with the rest of the sign while the
proposed signage adds additional colors to the sign and appears to break up the sign further.
The Department recommends that the Special Studies Committee approve the request after
all comments and concerns have been addressed.
Note: The item only requires approval by the Special Studies Committee.
