We discussed an 18 foot gate, either s swing or a sliding gate. The two subcontractors I talked with said the sliding gates were very expensive. The fence runs parallel with the trail at this point. The Stations where the Type 1I Drive crosses the trail is 20.88 feet on the same skew as the fence. I discussed the width with the gate subcontractor and we came up with a width of 24 foot for the gate. They have to have enough room to place a gate post on both sides. The gate will be a double 12 foot swing gate. We do not have this subcontractor approved for this project, so we will have to get a subcontract to them and get them approved.
