Item 1 Pressure Injection of Horizontal Surfaces
The pressure injection of cracks of horizontal surfaces, per the letter of November 11,
2010 attached. The amount is $3,586.00. Injection of minor shrinkage cracks
completed to minimize channel leakage.
The Owner was unable to shut down the 12 -inch City water line, while the tie -in had to
be completed for the 42 -inch. We are in agreement with the $897 cost for the additional
joint restraints in the letter of February 10, 2011 attached.
Item 3 Exploratory Work and Additional Labor to Install New Work Under S 4,856.00
Unforeseen Existing Water Lines
The City of Carmel is in agreement with the exploratory work and additional labor to
install the 42 -inch under the 20 -inch raw water main and 12 -inch finish water. The cost
for this additional work is $4,856.00 per the letter of January 6, 2011 attached. The 20-
inch and 12 -inch lines were not shown on the Contract Drawings, as they were
installed after bidding.
Item 4 Delete Screenings Bagger S 1,126.00
The City of Carmel accepts the credit for the deletion of the bagger at $1,126.00 as
presented in the letter of February 17, 2011. The bagger was specified but not required.
Item 5 Delete SK -16
The City of Carmel accepts the credit for the deletion of baffle SK -16 of $500.00.
Baffle SK -16 was specified but is not required.
Item 6 Solenoid Valves
Added solenoid valves to reduce the plant water usage at the grit pumps. The solenoid
valves were not part of the original Contract.
