The project site is located within current City of Carmel Corporate Limits. 2. Jurisdictions: · Streets and Right of Way - City of Carmel. · Water- Indianapolis Water Company Service Area · Sanitary Sewers- Clay Township Regional Waste District Service Area · Storm Sewers/Drainage- Hamilton County Surveyor's Office (City of Carmel review). · Regulated/Legal Drains- Hamilton County Surveyor's Office. 3. Board of Public Works and Safety Requirements: · Temporary Construction Entrance if applicable. · Please be advised that any open cuts of dedicated streets will require separate Board of Public Works and Safety approval. · Any permanent improvement (including irrigation systems) to be installed within dedicated right of way or dedicated easements. This approval would require a Consent to Encroach Agreement between the Owner and the City of Carmel. '· Secondary Plat approval if applicable. Performance Guarantees: There does not appear to be any Performance or Maintenance Guarantee requirements for this development. 8. Right of Way Permits/Right of Way Bonding: Any work in the dedicated street right of way will require a Right of Way Permit and a License and Permit Bond. The bond amount will be determined by the number of instances of work in the right of way at $2,000.00 per instance. Open pavement cuts in dedicated streets require separate approval by our Board of Public Works and Safety. Please contact our Right of Way Manager, Fred Glaser, to arrange permitting and bonding. COMMENTS CONSTRUCTION PLANS 9. Will there be a temporary construction entrance? If so, where is the location of the temporary construction entrance? 10. Do not see right of way identification or dimensions for Meeting House Road? 11. The existing concrete walks appear to be partially in and partially out of dedicated right of way. Is there an existing agreement regarding sidewalk maintenance? 12. Please share drainage calcs with this department. 13. Will any public streets be closed or restricted during this construction? 14. The City of Carmel has typically declined to approve drawings with the disclaimer above the P.E. stamp. We reserve the right to provide additional comments after further review of this project by the City Engineer. These comments represent the Department of Engineering's initial review of this project. Please provide our office with a follow-up letter and revised plans indicating al_.[l revisions. Second and subsequent reviews will focus only on revised items.
