Your generosity greatly contributed to our fourth successful year, and strengthened our dedication to being a strong force in the Carmel Community. We are committed to becoming a fixture in Hamilton County and bringing our many years of professional theatrical experience to Carmel through educational programs and high quality entertainment. Actors Theatre of Indiana is proud to have been voted the "Best Theatre Group in Indy 2007 and 2008" by WRTV channel 6 and having our productions of A Year With Frog and Toad chosen as "A E's Best r of 2007" as well as "A E's Best Bet of 2008/2009" by Lou Harry of the Indianapolis Business Journal. We eagerly anticipate the completion of the Carmel City Center's 500 seat theatre and look forward to calling it home. We know that we will be a strong addition to the facility and will stay true to Carmel's vision of making the City Center one of the finest in the nation. Here are some of the many ways that Actors Theatre of Indiana has contributed to the Carmel Community: Presented one of our Mainstage productions, FOREVER PLAID, at the Carmel Middle School, April 17" 20', 2008; Proud members of The Carmel Chamber of Commerce; Placed Carmel's City Partnership logo on all PR materials including postcards, programs and newspaper ads, which reached over 500,000 households; Sang at the Carmel City Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on March 13`"° 2007 followed by an interview by WISH TV Channel 8 where we promoted the Center and Mayor Brainard's vision for Carmel; P Presented the "ATI Cabaret Series A ROSIE EVENING: A Tribute to Rosemary Clooney (2006), BROADWAY BRASS: The Legendary Ladies of Broadway(2007), THIS COULD BE THE START OF SOMETHING BIG (2008) all at The Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel; Performed and participated with an ATI booth at "Carmelfest" 2006,2007,2008; Attended the City Council meeting to support the vote regarding the Arts funding, September 4 th 2007; Performed at the "Carmel International Arts Festival" with the casts of MY WAY: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra(2006), THE TAFFETAS(2007), COLE: The Music of Cole Porter(2008); The cast of A Year With Frog and Toad performed at the "Carmel Fall Festival" on October 27 1n 2007; Performed as the Andrews Sisters singing "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy" at the City of Carmel's Veterans Day Ceremony 2006, 2007, 2008; s Held our annual fundraisers AN EVENING TO REMEMBER at the Oak Hill Mansion in Carmel, 2006,2007,2008; Offered City of Carmel School Teachers and their students first come deeply discounted special performances of A Year With Frog and Toad December 19` 20 th 2007 and December 17 1H 2008. Actors Theatre of Indiana has made it a top priority to do all that we can to be a part of and to enhance the Carmel community, and we look forward to expanding our presence even more in 2009. With that in mind, we are scheduled to open our 2009 season at The Oak Hill Mansion with the production FORBIDDEN BROADWAY! ATI is the first professional theatre company residing in Indiana to get the rights to present this long running Off Broadway hit. We wanted to produce this show in Carmel to further advance our presence here and to continue to demonstrate our commitment to this thriving community and become a greater part of it. 1 We are steadfast in our dedication to make the 500 Seat Facility of the Carmel City Center our home, but we need help during our wait. Being at the mercy of the limited availability and scheduling of venues, we have been forced to have shorter production runs and only 3 mainstage productions each year. Moving from venue to venue has made our PR demands very high, in order to keep our growing audience base aware of where we are performing. Without a home theater, it has been virtually impossible to start up any educational programming that would further help us with funding. Until the Carmel City Center becomes a reality, we need financial support. We are hoping that the Arts Council of Carmel will take our continued participation in Carmel events, our production of FORBIDDEN BROADWAY at The Oak Hill Mansion beginning in February 2009, our production of FOREVER PLAID at the Carmel Middle School, our "Cabaret Series Annual Fundraiser and our pride in becoming members of The Carmel Chamber of Commerce as evidence that we are serious about our presence in Carmel, and that we are ready to enhance the Carmel Arts Community with a top notch professional organization. We are hoping that the City of Carmel will be able to help us with a grant of $50,000. The money is greatly needed and will enable us to keep producing and growing while the City Center is being completed which will allow us to help Carmel become a top destination for Arts and Culture. We will, as always, offer the City of Carmel and the Carmel Arts District our services whenever they are needed in addition to participating in the many wonderful Carmel events and festivals. We hope that the City of Carmel will continue to support Actors Theatre of Indiana and consider us a worthy not-for-profit organization for your resources. t Here are some of the outstanding reviews that ATI has received from some of Indiana's top news authorities "A E Best of 2007" "Best Bet of A E 200812009 "A Year with Frog and Toad, Actors Theatre of Indiana's production of this amphibious friendship saga was a gentle gift to Indy audiences. And "Alone was one of the year's most magical musical moments. Is it too much to ask for a 2009 return? It truly makes me sad to think of a year without "Frog Toad", Lou Harry, Indianapolis Business Journal V don't know where you were Friday night, but I wish you had been with me, watching a wholly satisfying family musical. Unapologetically simple lyrics like "I love being a Frog" and "cookies are nice convince us that our days are not without meaning. Mark your calendars for next year's holiday reprise. 4 '/2 Stars, Josefa Beyer, NUVO "Actors Theatre of Indiana has put themselves at the top of the heap. It's also raised the bar for production standards for every theatre in town Nick Crews, Indianapolis Star "It's rare to find a small group packed with talent of this caliber in the Midwest, and a performance of this quality shouldn't be missed. Melissa Mayer, The Daily Sun "Best Theatre Group in Indy 2007 2008" WRTV Channel b A -List If we can receive the above accolades at the mercy of venue availability and scheduling, just think what we can do in our own home with a supportive community behind us!
