HomeMy WebLinkAboutD-2067-11 Recodification of Chapter 2 (City Code)SPONSOR(s): Councilor(s) Accetturo, Seidensticker Sharp and Snyder ORDINANCE D- 2067 -11 AN ORDINANCE OF THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA, ENACTING AND ADOPTING THE RECODIFICATION OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF CARMEL, INDIANA WHEREAS, the Acts of the Legislature of the State of Indiana empower and authorize the political subdivision to revise, amend, restate, codify and compile any existing Ordinances and to incorporate such Ordinances; and. WHEREAS, American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, has completed the Recodification of Chapter 2 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Carmel, which supplement contains all ordinances of a general nature enacted since the prior supplement to the code of ordinances of this municipality; and WHEREAS, the Recodification of Chapter 2 has been reviewed by the Office of the Clerk- Treasurer and American Legal Publishing, and found to be accurate; and WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Council to accept this Recodification of Chapter 2 with the changes of the law of the State of Indiana. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Common Council of the City of Carmel, Indiana: Section I: That the Recodification of Chapter 2 to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Carmel as submitted by American Legal Publishing Corporation of Cincinnati, Ohio, and is hereby adopted by reference as if set out in its entirety. Section IT: All prior Ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with any provision of this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Section III: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
