BPW- 12- 07 -11 -05 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CARMEL BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY REGARDING DEMOLITION OF GRAIN SILO LOCATED ON CITY PROPERTY WHEREAS, the Carmel Redevelopment Commission has requested approval from the City of Carmel, Indiana, by and through its Board of Public Works and Safety "City to begin the process of site cleaning and demolition of an existing concrete grain storage silo with attached structure located on the former Carmel Street Department site "the Silo per letter dated December 6, 2011, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion and resolve of this Board that it is in the public interest to have the Silo demolished, contingent upon the issuance of all necessary permits and the execution of all necessary contracts regarding the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDERED AND RESOLVED by the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Carmel, Indiana, as follows: 1. The foregoing Recitals are incorporated herein by this reference. 2. The City approves of the demolition of the Silo as outlined above. 3. The Carmel Redevelopment Commission shall promptly take such action as is necessary to carry out the terms of this Resolution. Anker Vice President RE: Demolition of Grain Silo on Former Carmel Street Department Site Jeff Worrell Secretary The Carmel Redevelopment Commission seeks approval to begin site cleaning Bradley Meyer and demolition of the existing concrete grain storage silo and attached one Commissioner story structure. This approval by the Board of Public Works and Safety will be subject to obtaining all permits including necessary environmental remediation David Bowers as required by State and Federal regulations. Commissioner Gregory Phillips Subject to issuance of permits, the work would begin in late December 2011 Commissioner with completion within 30 to 45 days subject to weather conditions.
