LEGAL NOTICE shall be published in the Indianapolis Star a MANDATORY twenty-five (25) days prior to the public
hearing date. The certified "Proof of Publication" affidavit for the newspaper must be available for inspection the night of
the hearing.
LEGAL NOTICE to all adjoining and abutting property owners is also MANDATORY, two methods of notice are
recommended:
1) CERTIFIED MAIL - RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED sent to adjoining property owners. (The white receipt
should be stamped by the Post Office at least twenty-five (25) days prior to the public hearing date.)
2) HAND DELIVERED to adjoining and abutting property owners (A receipt signed by the adjoining and abutting
property owner acknowledging the twenty-five (25) day notice should be kept for verification that the notice was
completed)

Re: Mayflower Park- Ed Martin, Docket No. 04050017 ADLS Amend
Dear John:
At the meeting held June 1, 2004 the Special Studies Committee took the following action regarding the Architectural
Design, Lighting and Signage Amendment (ADLS Amend) approval for the property located within the US 31 Overlay
Zone.
APPROVED: Docket No. 040500017 ADLS Amend. The Committee approved the request four (4) in favor zero (0)
opposed thereby granting the petition, with the following conditions:
1.) the wall sign be broken up into 3 separate signs, staggered around the entry door arched window, with
Ed Martin at the top and the 2 logos dropped lower to be located near each side of the arched window, and
2.) the monument sign will have at most 3-inch deep channel letters with an opaque white background, and
3.) the service sign will be equal to or less than 3 square feet in area, per the Sign Ordinance.
In order to assist the Department's review, please attach a copy of this letter when making application for permits
regarding the improvements contained within this approval.
